most of his questions come from fundamental misunderstandings of the movies...liek the whol Queen Naboo thing....The Quen is in change of the planet, the Senator is the diplomat to the Republic. The Senator can infer the wishes of the Republic to the Queen and can represent her, but the senator is not in control of the planet. Simple. Just like countries and the UN, although the UN is not a strong politically as the Republic.
Well, I read about this far:
1) Leia. Yes, she kicked butt, but you get the sense George Lucas never quite knew what he wanted to do with her.
... and realised this was a diabolically ignorant article, mercifully untouched by the ravages of the facts.
The Princess originally had a far larger role in early drafts of the script.
At one stage, she was described as "a beautiful young girl of 16, with untapped psychic powers of Godess-like force."
In fact, at the end of that particular treatment, she revealled herself to, literally, be a "goddess" during the end ceremony, leaving the band of "teenage rebels" realising that they had been "adventuring with demigods."
The sad fact is, Lucas was far to trusting of the opinions of his friends and mentors.
Francis Ford Coppola almost convinced Lucas to reduce Leia's role to mere sexual interest, while, at one stage, Lucas dropped the Princess altogether after feedback to his early drafts.
Ultimately, the importance of the Princess was reduced with each script revision.
So to suggest that Lucas simply didn't know what to do with her is short-sighted - at one point she was the focus of the entire script.
I'm with our very own Princess there - bring on the "I don't care" option...
🙂
But, since you ask - IMO, everything will be answered...
Unless you are actively looking for problems.
Look for something hard enough, and you will see it.
1) That's just dumb, for the reasons given above.
2) Above the first Death Star.
3) The shroud of the Dark Side has fallen. Evil is everywhere, as the opening crawl states.
4) Vader's intentions are revealled in ROTS, along with why they are put on ice for 20 years.
5) The trials are explained in ROTJ - they are personal goals.
6) The Council does not know Jedi can turn bad. They still attribute Jedi sensibilities to Dooku - that is made clear in AOTC.
7) Yoda - "My failure, this was." The Jedi have a new agenda after ROTS thanks to QGJ.
8) See above.
9) We know all we need to know about Yoda. This is the fall and rise of Anakin Skywalker, not Yoda's Excellent Adventure.
10) It is an energy filed created by all living things. That'll do for me.
Vader finds out about Luke in ANH when he is about to shoot him, The Force is strong with this one.
Then he is going to use luke to overthrow the emperor so Vader can be incharge, he just plays stupid when the emperor questions him in ESB cause he is already looking for him at the begining of ESB as the scroll indicates

I like your answers and the way you explain them. But don't you feel that #10 needs to be a little more detail? I've always have consider The force to be very important in the SW Universe. So important that it becomes a character itself. And just like any other SW character it deserves to have an origin and explanation....of course not trying to dig too deep into it.

Hmm...
But how do you explain any faith?
Do you believe you have a soul, and if you do, could you explain what it is and where you keep it?

And why do people keep calling me "princess"? 😕
I'm from the UK.
And you're a lady.
Alright, darlin'.
'Owdo, Princess.
Just a term of address...
😛
Okay, maybe we're just dyslexic...
Princess Leia is Stupid. She is the worst character ever created in filmes.
Yes, Jar-Jar is stupid too, but at least he's not human, so it makes some sense.
For a human to be as weird, and bizarre is Princess leia is just Wrong.
She's snobby, and arrogant, and stupid, and insulting, and as the daughter of Padme, and Anakin, George lucas will have to digitally put someone else in her place, and change her voice.
AHHHH, I scream, just imagining her saying "I don't know what your talking about" to vader at the beginning of ANH.
****, IS SO RETARDED.
