Why is blaster fire slow enough people can duck it

????????? 馃槙

Because people are lucky

sorry i have never seen anyone in the films duck blaster fire.

People do get killed without getting hit though

han solo did it loads

Han Solo is a lucky bastard

It's better than Star Trek, when people are about to get hit by a phaser they stand still like deer caught in headlights.

No one is discussing ST v SW, its just a question, Jedi's don't move that fast on screen but they block it like a cricketer would hit a cricket ball. 馃槃

It's dodgeable if you're either really fast or super lucky.

here is the numero uno reason for duckin laser blasts ladies and gents......

lol

It could be argued that blaster fire is indeed light speed as it is a laser, however by the time Starwars takes place humans have evolved to be able to react to and out maneuver light speed speeds.

Blaster fire can't be dodged, it's noted multiple times that human reflexes cannot dodge them. You'd need to be superhuman or a droid to actually do so.
