He should die in Episode III though. When Anakin goes on a killing spree, he makes a special stop to Naboo and skewers that annoying turd, but of course Lucas wanted to go against every fanboy/girl's wet dreams and let him live.

Yes that is Jar-Jar. Supposedly Jar-Jar never dies within any point in the Star Wars films and was seen celebrating on Naboo after the second Death Star was destroyed.

If I am correct it was Lucas himself that stated Jar-Jar doesn't die during the films.
