Jedi?

Where did the name's Jedi and Sith come frome?
You might think i'm a dumb oaf asking this question but i really don't have an idea.

Don't know, probably just names of the founders or maybe the people that founded them thought it sounded cool

It's probably made up, but supposively Sith is close to the word sidhe, or another way of saying it.

jedi is a word in another language and is spelled a little different...arg I can't remember...I used to know. I'll google it.

thats where gl got jedi from. dooku, as in count dooku,means poison in jappenese
