What you mentioned above is also not as clear cut.Imperiex detonated himself to initiate the new big bang?
"Let the Galactus creature ignite a conflagration. Let this otherverse be consumed! The otherverse dies, so too will the negative zone."
When Galactus is detonated, two universes are destroyed.
I always found that interesting, considering that nothing has ever been shown on panel for Galan even coming close to showing that type of power. Is it possible? Maybe... thing is there is proof of Imperiex actually doing this while Galan has speculation from Annihilus. The on panel is greater than the speculation in this case...especially since it's been done more than once by Imperiex.

Let's also remember that Galactus was captive after extreme circumstances. Tenebrous, Aegis, and Thanos all conspired and attacked Galactus. Skreet labeled Aegis and Tenebrous more dangerous than the (post-recon) Beyonder (probable exageration, but still). We can't really compare Imperiex and his killing circumstances because it would extremely water-down the character if he were in danger of being killed in his primary story-arc as villain. That's more of a writing-device than a credit to the character. (I.E., Doomsday being in danger of dieing in the Superman death story arc=no tension, no drama in the story)In regards to the kismet punch, that probably would have damaged Galactus. A "full-power" Galactus, which are powers granted to him after consuming his space station Taa II (as explained in secret wars) enables him to literally become one with the universe and the very fabric of reality bends to his slightest whims. That essentially puts him on par with Eternity....so unknown what such a blow from superman would do to him. Speculation.
In a sense they actually were more dangerous than the post retcon beyonder, since she was so crazy that she made herself mortal, and Thanos was able to mind play her into shutting down.
The secret wars thing was impressive, but still falls short of showing any real feat. It still comes off as speculation. Even losing to Tenebrous and Aegis doesn't really compare to being hit with the embodiment of existence. Even less impressive is that they were said to be equal to Galactus..but were then taken out by Surfer basically wielding entropic energy...the same stuff that Krona and Imperiex wield.

But for the sake of discussion....exactly how would Imperiex defeat Galactus? Detonate himself? THat would create a situation where I could counter that Galactus detonate himself, and as the scan above provides such an explosion would destroy two universes, not create one universe as in the big bang (imperiex's power).what is to prevent galactus from displacing him in time? exiling him to another dimension?
Detonating himself would destroy galactus... when destroyed before his energy became a star...but even if say...there was some kind of chain reaction where both Imperiex and Galactus both exploded... Imperiex would survive that...while Galan wouldn't.
As for the exiling to another dimension, when has Galan done this to any kind of powerful enemy? For example Tyrant? There is also no proof that someone at Imperiex power levels could simply be displaced in time...considering he has to power to destroy and recreate those very concepts.
Galactus can and has been broken down into energy and killed, he can be drained, and grows weaker with time if not restored. The same can't be said for Imperiex. Seeing as Galan is weak to entropic energy, things don't bode well.

Yeah, but my point was that Impeirex does NOT harnish that power in himself. The probes/tech is a MUST in order to achieve that destruction.
Actually, he does have the power to "hollow out" the universe under his own power.
What's interesting about how the whole thing works is that his probes have a hive mentality and work in groups to gather his energy. This works a bit different from Galactus who uses a world ship to do his energy gathering. His heralds simply find the worlds for him to consume. Imperiex probes do both the finding and the converting for him. As he gets more energy, more probes are created, older probes are generally more powerful than the newer ones.
Galan has taken a similar approach in an alternate reality...sending a group of heralds to earth to set up the energy gathering equipment...almost exactly the same way that Imperiex does it.
They are basically the same character, Imperiex just seems to be higher in scale, while Galan has more showings due to his recurring roles in comics.
Now that DC has brought back Anti-monitor though, I guess anything is possible and we'll probably see more of Imperiex at some point since he's still alive and well.

Avlon do you have a scan showing Steel with the Entropy Agies or whatever its called where he goes and talks to Phantom Stranger, Highfather Zues and the rest of the Q? I believe it showed Steel messing with time and this is from a burned out Imperiex Probe
Here is Steel in the Imperiex powered Entropy Aegis.
I just remembered that Natasha's armor with just a shard of Imperiex armor was also able to cross over to the 4th world with just a thought. A completely different and seperate dimension of it's own.
Thanks for the reminders.
no no no. imperiex wants to destroy the universe while galactus doesn not want this. his drive is different altogether. he is shown doing crazy things but really doesnt want to conquer the universe but insetad serves as a function for the universe. galactus weakened has shown the ability to alter the a-wave and the war himself singlehandedly. imagine him full powered with an agenda to take down imperiex. all he needs is the un and its game over for impereix.

Will you please mention the incidents where Krona, Silver Surfer, FF and Ghost Rider defeated Galactus??? I doubt they did it under there own power.
Weak Thanos??? his blast can destroy a planet. He blasted Galactus out of the side of his ship and commented that he had no illusions that his attack managed to do anything but to enrage Galactus. Also Thanos there had received some powerupgrades.

Thanos blast is only strong enough to level a "mountain." Where the hell did you get planet-destroying from? 🙄
I will list the issues later. Galactus lost to Krona in JLA/Avengers crossover. Fantastic four beat him more thna once Sue even blocked his attacks with her forcefield.

The respect forum 😬
The JLA/Avengers Crossovers are normally not consideret canon so you point is. Let me see FF has beaten him.... once with the UN. Sue has blocked his attack in a holoprojection, not in a real situation as far as I know of.

Thanos NEVER destroyed a planet with his OWN might. Hence why he has his ship an tech to do that.
His blasts can destroy planets.

Galactus takes a Blast that could destroy a Mountainside the first one the second one how knows, and a supernova attack.

So what would it take to make him flying  certainly more then a mountaindestroying blast.
Oh that right the nova blast.

Well, that would be interesting. DC kills off most of their high end cosmics too fast. I'd love to see Imperiex rezzed at some point. 😄 👆
