Philo wasn't as arrogant as he was stupid.

A lot of people act arrogant because they think it gives them some kind of credibility when arguing or something, they almost force themselves to be as arrogant as possible in order to make it seem like they know what they're talking about. Philo was guilty of this, I believe.
