Because it forces you to concentrate on the flow of your blood. So you first must learn to become your own equalibrium. After that, you then must focus on the things around you. It teaches you to multi task, and hones your focus especially for combat. When you master this simple art, you learn to concentrate for the greater things. For example, before a spar I would sit upside down, but later turn the room right side up. So I would be fighting right side down. It is confusing at first, but soon you realize how vital it is to my style of training.
