Saito stopped right b4 the blade pierced Daisuke's stomach, which would've resulted in it ripped right off.

Saito slashs dai across the chest.

Saito: oh yeah? *does Zero Gotatsu just as your jumping back (it uses mostly centrifugal force i think and u use it at close range slicing everything up closely* I'm a bad cop aren't I. Mwuahahaha *continues to kick Daisuke in the ribs.
