Gorillaz

Who likes them? I think they are unique.

"Feel Good Inc." is an good song.

Quite like em.

Oh....memories....😆 when I was 15 I was in the play at school and before the one performance we locked ourselves in the guys dressing room with a boombox and strobe light and we were all dancing (in costume) to Gorillaz.

Yeah, I like them 😄

Bumped in honor of the new album.

Which is superb! Much better than the first one I think. I thought the huge amount of guest performances would drag it down, but it's quite the opposite. I listened to it all the way through on my headphones last night, and I loved every second. Bootie Brown and MF Doom's guest tracks are excellent, and Dare (which gets my bet for next single) is the best piece of dance music I've heard since Fluke's Another Kind Of Blues. And as for Fire Coming Out Of The Monkey's Head, it's the best thing Dennis Hopper's been involved with since True Romance! Not a single track I don't like, and a good 5 or 6 that I love, already.

I only got it yesterday, but for me it's already worthy of at least an 8/10.

I think they are really good, I don't know why they are different, and since I play bass, the bass part in feel good inc is simple but funky

...think it could perhaps have something to do with the fact that the band appear only as cartoon monkeys?

People were talking about Gorillaz in my class yesterday. It was cool, cause these are the same people who like Nelly and 50 Cent, so it was a nice breath of fresh air to hear people mention a band I like. I think them being on that iPod commercial is getting them more recognition.

That's true, but it would be unfair to say that they haven't had a lot of recognition before. Back when their first album was released, they had two original singles and two remixed singles get a lot of airplay. It is good they're getting more exposure this time round as well though, like you said, it's going to be great having all these Nelly and 50 Cent followers listening to MF Doom and Roots Manuva. They might make a few conversions.

Yeah they got recognition before on a wide scale but not so much in my school, and especially not among rap fans. People around here have unusually horrendous taste in music.

That's why I was so suprised to hear a group that works with a lot of underground hip hop getting talked about, cause aside from rock fans, nobody here really likes anything that doesn't get played on tv, aside from a couple local acts.

The Gorillaz are Excellent!!! 2morrow comes today is an excellent song i avnt heard Feel Good inc. Yet.

Gorillaz are on an I-Pod commercial?

It's always nice to see a good band get some recognition along with other mainstream artists especially the Gorillaz who have been one of my favorite bands since I first heard "Clint Eastwood" four years ago. Hopefully, more people will try out MF Doom's stuff with his guest appearance on the album.

Shall be picking up the album later tonight.

Cool, tell us what you think when you get it 👆

Oh I see. Well, on the upside, if you're anything like me, you'll have a permanent sense of superiority when you're at school.

Yeah, I reckon it's part of the group's plan, giving Del, The Automator, Doom etc a massive amount of brief exposure to encourage people who like what they hear to go looking for alternative music. If so, all the more reason to admire the Gorillaz.

Im liking this new album

I love them. I think they are great.

i can't afford the cd yet, my girlfriends birthday is coming up and i cant afford it. but i'm looking forward to it, Feel Good Inc has a great bass line

i hope im gettin it 2morrow even tho i got a bootlegged copy from months ago i gotta get the real one.

🪩 THIS one is going to be good. 🪩

i really liked the album.

Doom= shits on all.

Loved it. It's really cool to see the Gorillaz mature as production wise DD is head and shoulders above their self titled. All of the guest appearances were good especially Doom (which I must admit, I yelped a fangirl scream when November Has Come came on as Gorillaz and Doom is just a dream collabo if there ever was onedroolio). I had my doubts about the Dennis Hopper appearance, but it came out well. I only had one little problem with one song which I can't remember at this moment but will come back to me after I listen to Demon Days again.

Overall, Demon Days met and exceeded my expectations which were very high to begin with. I give it a 9/10 on the first listen.

Haha...I do wonder how the masses at my college can think Lil Jon and 50 cent are good.

Yeah, on the Gorillaz website (which is the greatest band website ever) they have a link to Blackalicious's site so The Gorillaz are certainly pimping underground hip hop. 👆
