Cause and Effect

The title of Episode III is Revenge of the Sith. What caused the revenge? What happened in Episode II that made the Sith wants its revenge?

The Sith + droids got owned by the Jedi + Clones in Episode 2, But The Jedi didnt know The Clones are really under Palpetine(Sidious) control.

Nothing.

The Jedi wiped out the Sith long, long ago. The Jedi thought they were gone, but they were in hiding, under the rule of 2. Then, in Episode 1, the plot for their revenge began. "At last we'll reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we'll have revenge." Remember Maul saying that? Nothing in Episode 2 made them seek revenge. Their plot, Sidious's plot, was already well underway.
