Halo 3 bored me in a day and are you seriously comparing Resistance Fall of Man to Metroid Prime 3? Did I hear that right? Resistance is a standard shooting that does nothing new much like Halo 3 while other shooters are adding so much more like Gears of War and BioShock and Metroid Prime 3.

Bioshock didn't really do anything System Shock 2 didn't do before. Just because its relatively "new" mainstream it does not mean no one has done it before.
Gears of War is a year old now, and it didn't really bring anything new. It just polished 3d shooters with a nice thought cover system--cover systems have been done before as well--same thing Halo did a couple of years ago when it first came out.
People need to stop being so hard with Halo IMO. I don't think GOW2 will offer anything "new". And Metroid Prime 3 brings new stuff simply because of the Wii. Had it been done of the cube it would have been same thing all over again.
But hey...we all have our opinions.

MP3 took the Wii controls and actually made them work where as other games on the Wii failed horribly to even make the game engaging and responsive and even fun (need I remind anyone of Call of Duty for the Wii?). And here's the thing; exclusive games are made to take advantage of the console they are making it for. Much like how Gears of War took advantage of Xbox-Live and the graphical capabilities of the console.
Just because Microsoft didn't have the balls to try something new like Nintendo is another reason why Wii has outsold the 360 despite the 360 having a year's lead.
sales don't mean sh!t, how many times must i say that, just because the wii has one good game that utilized the new controller well, does not mean it offers decent acomidation to those who care about graphics and game play, the only thing that i am looking forward to on that thing is brawl, which is being delayed more than gta4 (somehow) I play video games to take part in a social environment when you can shoot the hell out of stuff (or beat the hell out of it) without the wirless fu.cking up and my character staring at the ceiling while spinning around for 5 minutes during a firefight.

Let's see the Wii has Zelda: Twilight Princess, Sonic & the Secret Rings, Metroid Prime 3, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, (this Tuesday) Super Mario Galaxy, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Super Mario Strikers, Super Paper Mario, Battalion Wars 2, Resident Evil 4, Call of Duty 3, Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Rayman Raving Rabbits, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, not to mention all the Gamecube games and the Virtual Console games.
I'm sorry what does the 360 have? Gears of War, BioShock, Halo 3, Dead or Alive 4, Lost Planet, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter...basically a ton of shooters and a few of everyelse. So when I want to play a shooter over and over and over and over and over again I'll make sure I'll plug in the 360. But until then I'll be happy actually playing more than just shooters.
Wii is number 1 and the 360 is number 2. And yes sales do determine that because it was the PS2 selling a lot more than the Gamecube and Xbox that got it all the best games. Since the Wii is outselling the 360 and PS3 many developers are now working on exclusive Wii games.

I think we lost sight on what's important. Not that the Wii is outselling the 360 or the 360 getting great games but what truly matters is that the PS3 is failing horribly.
PS3 is now £299 and its the 40gb version and im thinking of getting it over a 360 elite which is £330
I wanted to get a 360 to play DOA4, SC4 & VF5 and all are online but Tekken 6 will not come out on 360 anytime soon.
As for PS3 it has VF5 but offline, SC4 and Tekken 6 but no DOA games are planned for it in the future
