So, let's recap. They play very poorly all season. Then they beat Chelsea. Then what happened?

Go and look it up, I'll wait.

See?

whatever, you win. anal mother****er.

More than a year of not scoring against many teams, some of which included Macedonia, and now watch everybody ignore that and say he's back on form, despite everything else.

Your jealous type of hatred for Rooney is quite sad AC 😛

he is a soccer god 😛

Man, England were merking it, how did they not win?

because mclaren likes playing players out of position

We dominated a game of football which is a plus for sure.....doesn't happen very often, but we need to be more clinical and ofcourse need to play everyone in their best positions, though I can't see things getting any better until McClaren does one

I'd say it's more that they aren't actually that good.

I hate the way he seems to be immune to all realistic critique despite not scoring for his country for a year or more, while Frank Lampard is abused for missing a penalty.

As VVD said before, Man United couldn't beat Southend, and they have Rooney...the player that some of you seemingly believed would win England the World Cup on his own.

upsets can happen in football you know.

if rooney was fully fit then he could of been hugely influential for england, providing that the other players in the team played well also...they didnt.

What?

So basically, Rooney could have been influential if he was fully fit (And also on form, he wasn't, and hasn't been for ages) and they could have done better if all the other players played well also?

Yes, that goes without saying. You could say the same about Wrexham; if they all had players of Ronaldinho quality they'd be the best.

What does that have to do in relation to my post?

-AC

Well let's face it, England have much more of a chance of winning something than Wrexham ever do

So your point is well.....erm......pointless 😉

It's not, is it? Deano basically said "If England and Rooney played great, they'd do well.". Yes, so would Wrexham, so would any team. We can sit here all day and say shit like that.

My point: As VVD said before, Man United couldn't beat Southend, and they have Rooney...the player that some of you seemingly believed would win England the World Cup on his own.

Deano said, basically, if they all played good as well as Rooney, he could have been influential. THAT was pointless.

It has nothing to do with me making a point that everyone is so far up Rooney's anus than to criticise him for not scoring in over a year, and when he does, it's a scrappy goal.

Frank Lampard misses a penalty and somehow he's branded for life. Frank Lampard could play better than Rooney for the next year, but because Rooney was really good at one point, that's how he'll forever be rated.

-AC

True, I guess in the scheme of things, Deano just mentioned if circumstances were different, then England would've done better, I suppose circumstances apply to every team, so you had a point, I just failed to see it from this point of view when I first read it

yes i said if the team play well aswell as rooney, then they are a very good side. thats up to the manager to get the right balance. e.g dotn play rooney in midfield, dont play one of the best strikers in the prem on the right etc

man united are also top of the league WITH rooney. so your point about wrexham is pointLESS.

im not up rooneys anus, and i never slagged off lampard for missing a penalty. lampard is great for club but never excells for england.

rooney was the best player at the euro's and understandably he coudnt hit top form at the world cup.

after a poor start rooney has come out of his drought and has been playing great for man united. he is a great player. simple as.

I do agree with alot of what Deano has said here: No one can deny that Rooney is a world class talent who hasn't even peaked yet

Wrexham would never have a player like Ronaldinho playing for them, but England could realistically go ahead and win something, so the example given by AC is not a very good one

It's not pointless, you're getting confused. You said, basically, that England would do better if they all played well and everything was done right. What kind of point is that? You could say that about any team. You could say "Wrexham could win the league if they played good enough to be promoted many times and then beat the Premiership's best teams.".

You not only called him Fat Frank, but Rooney hasn't "excelled" for England in over a year. Frank Lampard did better than him for England recently, if only in performance.

So you're rating Rooney for performing at the Euros when he was still as really good, yet when people perform better than him at the World Cup, it's not counting?

Yeah, this is what I mean. "He has come out of his drought.", yeah, with a scrappy goal that could easily have not been his, after a year and however many months of not scoring.

Yes, they can, and I will. I personally believe we've seen his best and that people were to blinded to accept he might not be Jesus. I may be wrong, I doubt it.

Sooner or later you'll read it in the correct context and get what I was saying.
