Not only does that prove you hypocritical for rubbish stats when used against Gerrard, then using them in favour of Liverpool, but do you wanna tell me when was the last time they won the league vs how many times everyone has said they'd contend? This, of course, being what I meant.
On top of that, and one of the flukiest, luckiest Champions' League outings ever, my point remains the same.

Wow, Liverpool have won a lot in the last seven years. More than two league titles per year, in fact.
i think liverpool have their best chance in years to win the premiership, but i still dont think they will. i think arsenal have been quietly alright, no-ones making much fuss about them but they're second. man utd didnt start well, but if they start scoring they're back in the title race. especially considering theres two points difference from 1st place to 8th.
i'm looking for blackburn do do well this year, 5th or 6th.
Quite a few. Outside of the top four, I think Bentley, Pederson, McCarthy and Santa Cruz has the potential to be one of the most effective attacking line-ups in the league. Rigters and Derbyshire look decent prospects too. I think it'll be between them, Everton, Spurs and probably Man City for 5th and 6th.

Who do yo think has been the best english striker so far, in a natural technical ability sense? I know certain strikers have scored x amount of goals and all that, but that doesn´t reflect ability. The team input, time injured, not being selected etc effects this way of judging a player.
Personally even though I´m not Arsenal fan, would go for Ian Wright.

Way back, Jimmy Greaves.
robbie fowler? he was good back ten years ago in his first stint for liverpool, but hes never really done much since he left anfield. it was nice seeing him in cardiff, being welsh, because i think at this level he has more to offer. but i donty see him being that good.
i'd say wright was good, linekar, shearer all deserve to be considered.
i mean he was good when he was younger. but hes still playing now and however many years ago it was he did play well, he hasnt been consistant.
the person above said to take injuries into account. thats what i'm doing. when he was with liverpool he had an outstanding record, its a shame he was forced out by houllier.

Fowler has much more natural ability than all the people you mentioned. Shearer and Lineker to me are the opposite of what Bicnarok was trying to suggest.
Yep Fowler is up there as well imo, he scored some scorchers.
Alan shearer was the classic center forward, excellent in the box Lineker was similar but they cannot be compared to other English strikers as technical ability is concerned.
There are strikers who scored goals in exciting ways and ie ran a long distance dribbled or scored with some lob or distance shot, and those who somehow in their weird and wonderful way managed to poke the ball in the goal.
Im sticking with Ian Wright, both footed, blistering pace, excellent control, had the feel for the shot, and couldn´t half welly the ball.
Im suprised no one has mentioned Micheal Owen.
