What am I supossed to be offended by this?

LOL wow

1. The ring's charge is limited and certainly can be exhausted
2. Galactus once siphoned off energy from Mephisto's realm, consumed a celestial and fed upon Hyperstorm. Do you think a limited source of power like the GL ring isn't feasable from the guy who has the power cosmic (power primordial others call, basically control of the fundamental forces and quite more)
3. His heralds PL ranges from being a downhill fight for hal onto some being close to him at power output and versatility.

Has it been provin though that he could aborb the GL energy?

Why couldn't he will him from stopping the absorbtion?

The rings power as far as what it can do is limitless.

It's not limitless. Otherwise, the "lantern" in their name would be gone.

I'm basically saying the probability of him being able to be siphoned off by Galactus is far greater than him not being able to. It's energy nonetheless afterall.

Galactus won't be defeated by any explosions regardless of magnitude, as he is a being of pure energy himself, and as for the broken jaw as WindDancer suggested, Galactus doesn't really have a jaw. The appearance of Galactus as we know him is just a conception that is individual to each species that sees him, as a matter of fact Galactus is a force of nature that you can't smack around like a physical opponent. Jordan might be able to repel a starving Galactus, but in this scenario I assume we're talking Galactus at full power. Galactus should have no problem absorbing and manipulating the energy of Jordan's power ring, including any forcefield Jordan could call forth to protect himself. The fact that Galactus has cosmic awareness and can instantaneously find out how powerful Jordan is and how to defeat him isn't really in Jordan's favour either.

Furthermore, Jordan, although immensely powerful, is really just a biological creature endowed with a powerful tool, so Galactus should have no problem shutting down his body functions. The only directly biological being that has defeated Galactus is Thanos, but he had the Infinity Gauntlet which had been granted power by God himself as far as I can recall, so its energy wasn't conventional even to an omega cosmic like Galactus, thus he couldn't manipulate it.

At best, I would place Hal Jordan in the same league as the Silver Surfer. Not that Silver Surfer is someone to sneeze at, black hole- creator- and escaper that he is, but I don't see how Jordan could perform any feats outclassing SS, who already has a nearly limitless ability to manipulate energy, and Galactus is leagues above SS in power. The power ring may indeed have godlike powers, but Galactus smacks around gods on a regular basis, so if Hal Jordan does indeed possess limitless power, I'd say that Galactus limitless power >>> Hal Jordan's limitless power.

I assumed this was ZH Parallax Hal lol....since it's not he loses.

Galactus stomps pan army of hals.

Galactus kills Hal, and the entire Green Lantern Corps in the process.

lol
there were times that these threads were not closed...
pure win

What about Galactus vs Oa? Surely someone's posted that question before.

If this was Kyle the fight would be different!

...Not.

Classic Stomp.

Wasn't it stated that every person views Galactus through the prism of their subconscious mind, so that they wouldn't be driven insane by his true forum? If that's the case, Hal sees him as a woman and screws him. He sneaks out of the worldship at about 2:30 AM, never to call again.

No, different alien civilizations see him differently though.

OK, even if that's true, Hal has never been shown on panel NOT shagging a 500 foot tall purple and pink space god into submission. So my original point stands, Hal is a whore of cosmic proportions.
HJ in an emerald rain of pleasure.
