I would have to say Robert Englund. He has been very impressive of as of late by the looks of it. His portrayal of Freddy Krueger can not be duplicated, and his is quite good as the good guy too (ie😛ython). I really did like Enlgund in Python I must admit. He shows great shades of my hero Donald Pleasence as Dr. Loomis in Python. He is extremely charismatic too.

..once again Doug Bradley gets the shaft. 🙄

A solid 1/2 of those guys aren't even actors, but stunt men, since they don't even have lines. Can't make a fair assessment off of someone mannerisms.

That said, I've got a few..

Bradley in Hellraiser 1 -3
Englund in Nightmare 1 + 5, & Strangeland as Jackson
Dourif as Chucky in Child's Play 2, and Wormtongue in LOTR
B.C. in Evil Dead 1 +2, Spiderman, as well as Maniac Cop
Savini in DOTD, and for being the only good thing about Vicious
Tony Todd for Final Destination. **** Candyman

Henriksen not so much because he hasn't had any breakout roles. He's more of an Alien sequel appeasement, like something for Alien fans to identify with. Apparently he's some kind of cult favorite, not with me, however.

Scrimm, being tall and talking funny with a permanent scowl isn't acting. Phantasm is overrated anyway.

Hodder, not an actor, as witnessed by his cameo in Friday 9. He did give Jason his signature mannerisms, for which he gets props.

Gunnar Hansen, same thing. Squealing and flailing about doesn't merit anything.

John..Saxon..? Just another Hollywood hasbeen.

😂
Lance Henriksen hads actually been in quite a few movies Aliens, Pumpkinhead, Scream 3 and 2 or more other horror movies that i can't remember.
Robert Englund is the best by far in my books

Englund, Bradley, Campbell.............the big three.

I looked at Bradley's profile and thought his only horror credits were the Hellaiser series. Sorry!

Its gotta be Campbell.

Bruce Campbell, his face can say a thousand words which is exactly what you want from a horror actor. Tony Todd in second place, got a very distinct voice.

I still havn't seen Bubba-Hotep..........no theater around here carried it. God damn this dvd wait is killing me.

I think Enlgund is still the most impressive and charismatic of the bunch. Wel Bruce Campbell may have the charisma.

I voted for Campbell, but I gotta give props to Savini who, while not best-known for his acting, is a god among horror effects specialists.

Explain because I think Englund would whip him in an acting contest.

Okay, let's look at it methodically.

Bruce's father was a small-time actor, whereas Robert's helped design the U-2 spy plane.

WINNER: BRUCE

Robert performed in the Shakespeare Festival from 1969 to 1972. Bruce was an apprentice in northern Michigan at Traverse City's Cherry County Playhouse, a summer-stock company.

WINNER: ROBERT

Bruce had his own series: "The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr", which was a complete departure from the horror genre. Robert had his own series: "Freddy's Nightmares", in which he cashed in on the Freddy character and introduced episodic teleplays like the love child of Ghoulardi and the Crypt Keeper.

WINNER: BRUCE

Bruce has 18 "unofficial" fan pages; Robert has only 13.

WINNER: BRUCE

Bruce has won one award and been nominated for another. In 2003, he won the best actor award for the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival's "Film Discovery Jury Award" for "Bubba-Hotep". He was nominated for the DVD premiere award for the audio commentary on the "Evil Dead" special edition DVD.

Robert won the best actor award at the Fantafestival for his role in "The Mangler" (1995). He also received the Life Career Award from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films in 2001.

WINNER: ROBERT

Bruce has written his autobiography: "If Chins Could Kill", and his second book is due out next year. Robert recorded the album "Freddy's Greatest Hits" in 1987.

WINNER: BRUCE

englund and campbell
and he's not in the list but i would say Bill Moseley (Otis / house of 1000 corpses ) and Sid Haig ( Capt Spaulding / house of 1000 copses)

Let's not forget Bruce's other series "Jack of all Trades" and Englund's "Nightmare Cafe". While Bruce starred in the comedy series.......Englund was head man on the Twilight Zone-esque Nightmare Cafe.

Really...I think Robert wins that category.

Englund and Campell. But it will be a very sad day when Robert passes away..... 🙁

He's only in his 50s.

...you don't know how old she is. if she (<<freddy vs jason) is a teeny, that probably very old for her 😉

Regardless of how old he is it'll still be a sad day. I love Robert Englund but Bruce Campbell is a cult hero. Freddy is a cult icon, not Englund. (Well, not as much.)

Bruce cambells is my god damn hero!!! he is so frigin mad!!! what other movies is he in besides..well...you know!

I voted for Robert Englund. He is so funny. He is really cool too. I like him.
