cool.great to have you aboard. 🙂 you wont find any shortage of star wars fans here thats for sure. 🙂

yes, we took our 14 year old son to see Revenge of the Sith on Sunday. I can now bring closure to my 28 year relationship with George Lucas.

In 1977 before many of you were born, I had a date for the movies and though I cannot remember my date's name or the movie we saw, I remember seeing the trailer for the first Star Wars movie, episode IV as my son likes to remind me, my first reaction and I quote was, "Cut me a break, that is going to be the biggest flop." I couldn't get past the wookie. In all my life, there had never been a movie about 'outer space.' Lost in Space had been on TV when I was a kid, but the idea of a 'space movie' was just more than my little brain could fathom.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU George Lucas for ending my movie critic career and not only giving me a thrilling ride, but decades later I was able to pass it on to my son.

Twenty years after the original theatrical debut, my husband and I took our then seven year old son to the movie theater to see Star Wars on the big screen and experience the thrills we had. Of course we already owned the first three movies on VCR tapes, but we paid to see it any way; and we paid more in 1997 than we did in 1977.

When we lived in Monterey, CA we would spend rainy Saturday or Sunday afternoons having a Star Wars marathon and watch all three movies back to back. Of course we bought the updated versions on VCR tape, then we bought the set on DVD when they were released along with Episodes 1 & 2 on DVD and of course we will buy the deluxe six version DVD set when George releases it.

George Lucas has given millions of us a fantasy world that can provide an escape into a moral world of good vs evil, love, sacrifice and the belief of a 'power greater than we' As we say in church, 'may the Force be with you', and reply 'also with you'.

hey! welcome!

seeing you brings warm feelings to my heart. 😛
