RE:Answer
I care. I care alot, it is a fair question, and it should produce constructive criticism and conversation.i

Riiiiiiiight.
I'm tellin ya: 🤪

It doesn't need to be discussed Eddy, that's the point we're all trying to make you understand. Theres a simple explanaition: Empire decided to stop using them. If you'd like to have your thirst for this topic quenched, go by the second story arc of Dark Horse comics title: Star Wars Empire. It came out a couple years ago and shows Biggs Darklighter, Hobbie, and a bunch of other Rebel pilots hyjacking X-Wings from an old ship yard the Empire still patrols. That will answer all of your questions...

WoW! Your information just blew me away. It sounded so perfect, when contrasted to my idea. i made this thread without the knowledge of those comic book stories. (it your info) backs my claim completely. thanks! I freaked out when I read that, why didn't you submit that earlier? Remeber, not everyone reads or is knowledgable about SW outside of these six films. To bash a post simply because you are aware of a certain subject, doesnot constitute that you should rejacet. you should actually consider participating in the conversation by adding your OUTSTANDING knowledge and in return "soakin your oats" because of your unmatched contribution. Thanks anyway! you are very wise in SW info, but need to as Ani says"patience" (EP III)

Even without the comics its common logic. The comics just illustrate what me and finit said, which is the same thing we would have said regardless of the comic. Stop being so whiney....need that we do not.

and by the way...I'm used to unmatched contributions...I no longer revel in them 😈

yes unmatched contributions you do not revel in them, but you use it to strike silently at others. a wicked trait found only in Sith and used as a weapon of hatred towards post that again provide a location to disscuss a sunject, not bash it and its post!

you're clearly new here. all we do on here is bash and be bashed. its a battle ground where only the strong survive. And strength here is measured by knowledge...

I think the X-wing is an earlier model
Used by Pirates and Bountyhunters
And when the rebellion starts they just buy em
End of story

I do not yet have the incredible cross sections book...so I do not know for sure...
But... if the ARC 170 was manufactured by incom...it could indicate that during the early years of the empire, INCOM were unhappy with the empire and stopped producing anything for them or maybe SIENAR fleet systems became the preffered manufacturer of the empires navy forces.

And the Tantive IV was being chased because the empire detected that transmissions from the ship that first received the death star plans had been sent to the tantive IV... not because they suspected leia of being a rebel.

Negative red leader

According to the Incredible Cross sections book...
"The X-WING starfighter was a top secret project of the Incom corporation when the empire began to suspect rebel sympathies within the compnay and seized its assest. Key members of the design team escaped with the plans and two prototypes, destroying all other records of the ship."
