Some places it's also known as "Tonic"

That is soda water, BackFire. That doesn't count. And all the Southern American people I am at basic with are calling it Soda, and making fun of me for calling it Pop.

No, it's the term for soda in some places. My cousin will be pouring some coke and say "do you want some tonic?"

Gah, I opted for pop, regression to my 4 year old days 😄 But I tend to call it Fizzy now, or just refer to it as its brand name.

OMG, yes! Tonic is medicine, or it should be. Although, I used to serve mini bottles of tonic water as mixers when I worked in pubs 😑
