By night I walk these crowded streets
Alone in my thoughts an emptiness inside me
For a girl I’ve yet to meet
The love grows strong for no one beside me
She’s in my mind
I fight and struggle with no relief in sight
I take my time
To paint a picture of words
But the words don’t come out right
Can’t she see. This pain I feel
Tell me now, if this is real
I can’t go on, living in this lie
I shed a tear, but I cannot cry….why?
There are faces
I close my eyes. No it won’t go away
As is the case
When love is just for another day
I touch her hand
It feels cold and hard and full of shame

This man is lonely, alone in a crappy game
Can’t she see. This pain I feel
