He was a proffesional Boxer and was constantly fighting unlike Lee who was more involved in perfecting fight scences within movies.While Lee did study a lot of arts,his techniques according to his books would today be quiet primitive compared to a lot of mma fighters.Boxing,however,is still a big factor within modern mma fights of today.I've never seen JKD used truley.Most JKD fighters I see are Basicly BJJ guys who's original art was JKD.
Ali was fighting way more than Lee ever did.Anyone who's seen that famous third fight between him and Frasier can tell you that takes a lot of endurance to go that long.Lee wouldn't compare.But just for a moment I'll give you Lee supporters the benifit of the doubt.Lets just say Lee could have held in their,we still have no concrete proof that he could.We can watch plenty of Ali fights and make a good guess to what would happen.WIth Lee it's only speculation.
I will agree with you that in regards to actual fights, we haven't as much reference material than that of Ali.
I already stated that it would take drastically less for Ali to win the fight than Lee. Lee would have to work a great deal more than Ali would because even when blocking, Ali could do damage to Lee. Where as I doubt Lee could do anything if Ali was blocking his head. Then again, Lee is more than fast and powerful enough to get in and out with some solid, reliable body shots. Ali can't block THAT fast, in my opinion. Lest we forget Ali is used to fighting considerably larger, slower men than Lee.
As Lee went on, he took his original style of JKD and adapted it to become more fluent, as you surely read, by basing it on a myriad of arts. So it's not as primitive as you would think. Although maybe that's an advantage. Jet Li isn't as bog standard as Lee, he wouldn't last a second. Lee actually was a fighter despite being in movies, you only need see his fights or movements to know that. The way he strikes.
But you gotta love the way Ky comes in and talks like a gangster rapper and Whirly doesn't pick him up due to the agreeing opinion. Hmm.
Either way, I'm not beefing. I don't beef on the net. It's like the special olympics.
