Here is a list of people rumored to be Holly Short: Leanor Varela, Samantha Morton, Winona Ryder, Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore, Keira Knightley, Rachel Leigh Cook, Halle Berry, Holly Hunter, Scarlet Johansen, Drew Berrymore, Angelina Jolie,Emily Jordan Osment,Kate Bosworth,Tara Reid and Amy Smart.Miramax has denied the rumors of Cameron Diaz being Holly.(I don't like them all.)
There are many rumors about who Butler is going to be. Vin Diesel is rumored to have the part, but again these are RUMORS so if I’m wrong don’t kill me. One of my more believed correspondent said that Danny DeVito will be Root. It’s also said that Patrick Warburton should be Root. Geoffrey Rush seems like a good Mulch.
Briar Cudgeon could be Ewan McGregor or Philip Baker Hall. Anneliese van der Pol could be Juliet. Artemis Senior might be Pierce Brosnan.
Now for the big Question, who will be Artemis? I’ve heard Tom Felton and Haley Joel Osment mentioned. Zohren Weiss is also talked about, same with Jason Carter. Nicholas Hoult has had many things said about him, and was even mentioned for the part by Eoin Colfer. I have no real opinion on this issue, except that I don’t want Tom Felton at all.
