Has anyone read the book "Lies and the lying liars who tell them" by al franken, it is a great book and has many examples of o'reillys fantastic debating skills as well as countless other members of the right wing american media.
Also the documentary Outfoxed is an excellent portrait of the american media

Tell you what--I'll read that from cover to cover if you'll do the same with The Enemy Within by Michael Savage. To be honest, I was surprised to learn that Michael Savage is very well-learned and quite a bit of research goes into his books. The guy really knows his history, too.
Anyhow, I've heard that Al Franken's radio show relies on Bush-bashing and liberal callers to sustain it. Is this true?
His radio show is a little too heavy on the bashing sometimes, but when he writes a book he backs up any facts with footnotes and references that are pretty hard to dispute.
He has to do that as he as exposed O'Rielly and Coulter for misrepresenting fact, fudging footnotes and outright making things up.
The thing with Franken is that whether you like him or hate him he gives you a chance to speak your mind, and he make no excuse as he was an entertainer first, unlike other pundits who take themselves and their jobs way to seriously.
absolutely. al franken never claimed to be a 'journnalist' as these other clowns do. he proclaims that he is an entertainer, and he is entertained by exposing those who lie...thus the book. sure he's bias...OF COARSE he is, but bias alone does not render everything said to be a lie, and he is accurate with his info. feceman, ill bet fred savage is as well (not that i know for sure) but he also come off and a bigot ass when going off on rants and bashing people viciously when they have no effect or ill will toward him what so ever. i find hate mongering inexcusable.
