Saving or Backing Up MSN Smilies?

You know how nowadays you can 'steal' MSN smilies from people?

If you reformat your computer, will they be deleted or stay in cyberspace like your emails?
If they will be deleted, is there a way to back them up?

idd it's only gifs half the time anywayz so they don't take up space
