Is Anakin the chosen one, or is it luke, or maybe even Ben (skywalker)?

This has been discussed elsewhere. Anakin is the chosen one, from a certain point of view. he could not be redeemed without luke, and luke couldn't exist without anakin and in that case there would be no chosen one or Star Wars.

anakin killed sidious. then he killed darth vader. anakin killed the sith. he was the chosen one. he was destined for the moment in ROTJ

it wasn't just his destiny to kill the sith. too many people think of it in terms of a set of scales and equal and opposide reactions. by the time of NJO there were around 300 jedi to every (possibly) one Sith (if they were still in existance then, and rumour has it that they were out there)
