Maggot Brain

These are probably the most haunting and disturbing pictures I've ever seen. And I've seen alot.

Fair warning, as the topic suggests, they're pics of a man who's brain is infested with maggots.

I'm going to take your word for it. 😬

and we have all seen this before....i sure have 😬

Damn, I had to look. That was gross.

After learning that all of the surgeries on Nip\Tuck are fake, I don't beleive those maggot pics are real. 😬

damn my curiosity..that was so foul.. 😘

Apparantly they're real, they've yet to be debunked.

Noooooooooooooooooooo! It's so gross, it's so . . . . it's rather awesome!

"Mr. Shota Fujiwara loves his sashimi and sushi very much to the extent of trying to get them as "alive and fresh" as can be for his insatiable appetite."

That sucks! His favorite food cause him to get tapeworms in the brain.

It's disgusting but fascinating at the same time.

What's worse, is everytime I look at them, my head starts to itch. 🙁 Freaks me out.

Actually, the two initial explanations are false.

The real explanation of how it happened is below the pics.

"Although the explanations quoted above are erroneous, these images are in fact real and undoctored, and they are indeed photographs taken of a patient whose brain surface was exposed and crawling with insects. The pictures date from October 2002, and they are photographs of a man in his 70s who was suffering from an unusual form of cancer which had eaten away at the upper portion of his skull and scalp but who had not sought any medical treatment because the condition was not causing him pain. The man was brought to the trauma center at Stanford University Hospital (where the photographs shown here were taken) by San Mateo County paramedics who had been summoned to the scene after the man was involved in a minor automobile accident and who found him in his car in the condition pictured. "

I shouldn't have clicked the link.

I think that's how everyone feels when they first see these pics, I know I did.

if you feel ill, go to the god dman doctor, if you dont, zombie maggots will chew your brain away

Yup, that was pretty sick! Time for dinner now

Everyone's so mean about maggots. They're such useful little things (until they turn into flies🙁) & it's not as if they'd be doing him very much damage; they only eat dead flesh.
Interesting pictures though.

That photo made me feel hungry...

Eh, well I saw on TV once this guy had like a bad disease in his leg and they took maggot larva and put them in his wound and then taped the wound up so that the maggots would eat the infected part of the wound. And the amazing thing is that it worked. The man got healed
