Gender: Male
Age: 18
Race: Metahuman

BACKGROUND:
They say that the eyes are the windows to the soul. If this is true then Jason Archer has the soul of a wild predatory cat. Though he lives in the city where life is much tamer than any true large cat’s domain, he has never lost his ability to go on pure instincts. How did he get these unique gifts and why does he not agree with the majority of the populace that these things make him any less human? Maybe the answer lies in his unique genetic code.
Back in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, as much as even today, some of the less ethical biogenetics companies believed that homeless people were as expendable as lab rats and could be used in any experiments they wanted to use them for. One such biogenetics laboratory was working on how the genes of several wild cat species helped to develop their survival adaptations.
Once they found out just how each adaptation was genetically stored in each creature’s DNA, they set their sights on designing an amalgamation of the best traits to create a super predator. They used a Lioness to be the host mother for the altered embryos as they did not know the size the cubs would grow within the womb. The first series of tinkering with the genetic structure of the cats was a huge success and surprised everyone when a litter of cubs was born within a few months.
The cubs were a strange and yet amazing site. Their ears were extra large thanks to Serval genes. The body and muscle structure was highly reminiscent of a Tiger. The eyes were like those of the nocturnal Ocelot giving enhanced vision ranges even in the darkest nights. The spine had an amazing spring much like a Cheetah which would allow for greater speeds even if over short time spans. The cubs played around with an amazing agility like that of a Bobcat, and a love for water like a Jaguar or a Crab Eater, they even could climb like a Cougar with incredible ease. Their jumping distance could even out match one of their gene donors the Snow Leopard by almost ten feet. They showed social skills like the species of the host mother, the Lion, along with their tactical sense of hunting. They had an amazing tawny coat much like the Cougar yet with a stripe and spot pattern like a combo of the Tiger and Jaguar.
The trial run went so smoothly and successfully that the scientists had an over inflated ego and turned their sights to military applications of the amalgamation. They believed their best bet would be to incorporate the features of the test cat into a human subject. They could imagine the result could be a wave of super spies and shock troops. Their imprinting of the cat’s genes on human embryos was not initially as successful as the cat to cat experiments. Fifty embryos rejected the genes before any sign of hope for the company. With all their eggs in this one basket they could not afford to fail now so they kept trying. When they had a successful embryo they needed a host mother. This was mostly human so they needed a human host. They found a homeless woman by the name of Vanessa Archer. She successfully carried the embryo to term and gave birth to a miracle of science. Seeing that the child was alive and not a still born they chose to name the race Homonid Felidae, or loosely a Cat Man.
The child was not covered in fur like some of the geneticists had initially come to believe, they began to question their success in the project. Other features quelled those questions, most notably the retractable claws, pointed ears, and obvious cat eyes. The scientists had named the race but allowed the mother to name the child. She named the boy Jason Archer after her deceased father.
They allowed the mother to live on the property with the child so as not to scar totally their first breakthrough and end up having to one day take him down. They believed that the mother being around in the developmental years would make him easier to control. Around the age of two he showed a sense of independence that they had not anticipated, and they decided it was a good time to start weaning the child like one would wean a kitten from the mother.
PERSONALITY:
Had people helped him in the right stages in his life he could have been a hero. He still could be a hero if the right people guide him in the right direction. His reactions to people differ by situation. If you make him angry the claws come out. If you annoy him the claws stay in but his fist could be spring loaded. He hates the idea of cages and so he may do the cliche animal villain thing once in a while of releasing vicious animals from their cages at the zoo. If he is in a cage then nobody friend or foe inside the cage is safe until the door is open and he is released. Like all animals or people of the nature he does not particularly enjoy fire, so if he ever gets a place and has to cook it is either with a microwave, electric stove or oven, but never on an open fire or burner. Just because he is a villain doesn't mean he won't stick up for people when the time calls for it. Other villains have done the same thing in comics over the years. He is after all a villain to survive and not necissarily a villain by occupation. For the Humorous side of his personality. He like watching dog's chase their own tails because it shows cats are superior and most of his DNA is cat. His favorite songs include The Cat Came Back, Cat Scratch Fever, Stray Cat Strut, and Eye of the Tiger. If he ever recieved a belly rub or a scratch behind his ear he would be in heaven. He is happy he did not end up with whiskers.Due to Tiger and Jaguar genes he is not afraid of water like most housecats. He also hates the preferred treatment given by the organization to the hybrids they created later in life as they perfected the mutations to allow post zygote alterations.
APPEARANCE:
Height: 6'0" Weight: 200 Eyes: Yellow-Orange Hair: Black
Ears are elongated and come to a point. The eyes have no visible whites around the iris and the pupil can almost fully dialate. Long hair that symbolizes a lion's mane. There is a red slashing pattern on his costume and he wears black leather gloves without fingers. His teeth are all sharp and his canines are extended like a cat's would be. Years of training have fine tuned his muscles giving a well toned look only found in comic books. He exercises several times a week to keep his toning.
SUPER ABILITIES/ WEAPONS
-Enhanced Natural Senses: Vision, Smell, and Hearing are all enhanced well above human capabilities.
-Enhanced Speed: Faster than a normal human but not more than an Olympic Class Sprinter.
-Enhanced Reflexes: Uses cat like reflexes when he attempts to avoid attacks.
-Clawed Fingers: Retractable claws like a cat's help him in climbing surfaces faster than normally able to climb. Anything they can penetrate he can climb, and anything with enough crevaces to catch the claws in he can climb. Also usable in melee combat.
-Altered Vocal Chords: He can make any sound that a human or a cat can emmit.
-Cat Landing: Like any cat or cat hybrid he can fall from high distances without hurting himself. During the day he has high chance he could fumble on the landing and jar himself badly on falls above 20 feet. At night it is at a lesser chance due to better night vision than in the day.
-Enhanced Leaping: Due to the slightly altered musculature in his legs, he can out jump even the best Olympic long and high jumpers. His leap is much like a Snow Leopard which can jump over 30 feet horizontally from a slightly crouched standing position.
WEAKNESSES:
-Sonic Attacks: Due to his enhanced hearing his ears are extremely sensitive to really loud noises.
-Intense Light: An increased number of light receptors in the eye allow him to see in almost pitch black. However the downside is that too much light is a bad thing. Even indoors he wears sunglasses to keep his vision from blurring.
-Olfactory Attacks: For similar reasons to his vision and hearing he has trouble with his nose. Too much of certain smells can knock his ability to differenciate between smells for a while.
-Bestial Mind: During times of extreme duress like the loss of a loved one could send him into almost acomplete fury. In this mode he will attack anything that moves too quickly near him. Slow movement and soothing sounds can help draw him out of it.
-Catnip: Though he has never encountered it he has heard of it's effects on his kind and stays clear of it.
-Fire: All animals fear fire. Any fire attack has a 75% chance of making him bolt.
-Normal Mortality- Dies of normal stuff like bullets, disease, etc.
-Thunder & Lightning- He hates thunderstorms though he loves the rain. Attacks that leave a thunderous sound or a bolt of lightning more often that not send him for cover until it is over.
-Enraptured By Motion- AKA Ball of Yarn Syndrome. Quick motions catch his eyes and his attention. This could be a bad thing if it is something it would be dangerous to catch. But he would make a great outfielder or NFL reciever.
- This is the red costume.
- His true regular form.
