Deep Throat comes forward
What do you guys think? Is this the man that forever changed the landscape of both American politics and our perception of our political leaders?

You'll excuse me for using you as an example. But, the entire reason I posted this topic(which is something I never do) was to illustrate that there is an end result we should keep in mind. Before the watergate conspiracy, there was a blind following of our political leaders. Post-watergate..there was a cynicism that followed american politicians. I, for one, think that the post-watergate era was a good thing. Question your leaders, question their methods and question their motives. I, personally, think that Nixon was a great president. However, he was no better at his job than anyone before or after him. If Roosevelt was around post-watergate...we would have known he had polio. But, there was a "standard" to political reporting at that point. Good or bad. And polio had little effect on his ability to act as president. However, deep throat allowed us to question our leaders. That is a great thing. A true step towards democracy. Too bad that those who came after were too powerful to allow freedom to prosper.
I'm sorry, but if you have no idea what is being discussed, then don't respond.
