Coldfire glanced around, her sharp Elven ears picking up the sounds of light footsteps. She silently took out her bow, strung it, and knocked an arrow.

A figure suddenly jumped out onto the path, knife in hand. Coldfire whirled around, and the man fell heavily to the ground, an arrow in his chest.

"Looks like you were being followed as well"

Coldfire went over to inspect the fallen man. He was armed to the teeth with an odd assortment of knives, daggers, and swords. But he had no chain mail. Coldfire took him to be an assassin for hire. And a cheap one at that.
