USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE III (JEDI)- Revelations

"Ridiculous..." Jelena says, shaking her head. "What if his followers did the same? Cassilis would be a horrible place to be meeting Kuylen AND Galder AND Takuan AND Rah...and whoever else was with that madman."

Thinking to himself and listening to Roan and Jelena speak he knew the situation had become much more Precarious, and that this mission may be much more dangerous then lead on to believe

turning to Roan

"I believe you are right Roan, we need to get word back to the Council with all due haste and with out the General knowing but we should focus on the current problem which is once they have us land, we have no clue what will happen, they know who you are from what you said you have delt with this man before, which means we may not get the warmest welcome we should be ready for anything, but be cool, make them tip there hand, however the decision is yours."

Hmm, Were going to have to land with them, there are simply too many of them to try to run or screw around with. I say we play their game, for now... We HAVE to escape though.

"I agree Roan playing there game is the safest action to take and escape is paramount, perhaps we should get what we need from the ship now, some thing tells me we won't be seeing it again for a long while."

Bowing his head to Roan and Jelena Sirus quickly moves to his quarters to gather the rest of his gear, then returns to the Cock pit entrence and awaits to see what unfolds.

"Don't refer to him as the General when talking amongst ourselves, please," Jelena asks politely of Sirus.

"What should we do, Roan?" Jelena asks, hiding her worry. "They know that we are Jedi...do you think they will give us to Kuylen immediately?"

*Spiridos*

"Scroop, what do you think? Should we just get to our accomodations, or would you like to see what this area has to offer?"

(Not sure how best to proceed here, Alkaseltzer. What do you want to do? I was thinking that we settle in, start using the facilities, and start talking to the regular visitors. See if anything useful pops up. What do you think?)

Ok, Savoir-Faire rolls to identify the armed forces. However, Roan gets a hefty bonus because he knows what he is looking for.

These regimented, tightly disciplined troops in highly traditional gear, acting in unision, and with presentation just as important as battle drills...

... are the direct hallmarks of troops from Charnel, Kuylen's homeworld.

An army from Tasker's Crown! The most militarised and traditionally combative sector in the Republic.

But something else is wrong. None of these troops are going near the Sanctuary. They are, in fact, forming a cordon around it.

Traffic controllers on the ground (humans, not droids. Odd) wave you down to your given landing pad. As you land there, about a hundred troops are coming into formation nearby.

Roan... you sense nothing. But when you think about it, what kind of question was that? Hard to sense, the Dark Side is. Besides, the last- and pretty much only- time you met Kuylen, you were in the Mausoleum and your senses were hardly at peak performance.

"If Kuylen is so dangerous," says Sunda, "then that only makes it more vital that I am there to help my Master."

This whole place seems to be a shrine to relaxation, Andro. The mood is relaxed, the people are relaxed... nothing here has sharp corners, everything is rounded and smooth.

There are plenty of people to talk to, but if you prefer to do it at the fiaiclities you are using rather than the starport, Andro, then we can go there right now. Gallagher might be leading the mission but in a two man job you have a lot of say over the plot.

mwahahah. i guess some things never change 😈

Sirus bows his head to Jelena in Acknowledgement, then speaking to both Jelena and Roan.

"Perhaps the Z'har have cut a side deal, and the Pacifist have decided not to turn the Cheek anymore, if this is true, this would explain why the Z'har would want to know when we were comming, and leaving early I would guess we weren't ment to see this, however I am sure we will find out soon enough"

"I suppose so, Sunda," Jelena says. "But it also means that you must stay back should Roan say so. We care for you, Sunda; we shouldn't want you to be hurt by Dark Jedi."

Jelena moves to the exit hatch and lowers it as soon as the ship has set down and the troops are in their formation. She does not want to provoke anything.

Looking to Roan " I have an Idea, We know the situation has become much more grim then expected, best case Scenario they Isolate us and allow us no contact with anyone, worst case they capture or attempt to kill us and most likly with these odds would succed, any way you cut it we have no way of contacting the Council and if we wait to find Comms it may be to late, should the council send another party of Jedi they will most likly meet the same fate"

"I suggest that we send a Micro Burst transmission, piggy back it to our Transponder signal, now all tracking computers recive this signal as standard proceedure, once recieved it piggy backs on thier own system and sends it to its destination in our case the council, anyone looking for such an act which i'm most certain they are will only see an annomly because its on there own system and quickly dissmiss it, this is a common occurence with massive amounts of military traffic between ground troops and air support, atleast then the council would know the situation, and should somthing happen to us they could act accordenly, this is fessable in the small amount of time we have."

(Now I hope Ush allows this, now I am falling back on my Naval Intelligence training from the Marine Corps and this can be done in the small amount of time we have left, even though this is the oldest trick in the book it is very effect and has almost zero chance of detection, my unit did it may times, also this works if comms are jammed because a carrier signal like a transponder is not the same as a comm signal thus getting it to the working comm signal such as these military forces because they won't jam there own comm they need them to corrdinate forces, if this is allowed it will give us an Ace in the Hole, they won't know a thing and even if somthing happens to us atleast the council will know what is going on.)

"Did Kuylen do something so that we have a legal base against him, or is it perfectly legal for him to be there, in any case I think we should carry Srius plan through (if it is possible)."

(I'll wait for Alky to see if he's ready to go, but in the meantime, I'll go ahead and ask someone what there is to 'do' around here.)

"Scroop, if you and Zaland want to wait here, I'll go see what I can find out about this area."

(Assuming there is some sort of help desk or visitors' kiosk around here somewhere, that's where Andro want to go first.)

Andro walks up the the being at the desk and just starts talking , not bothering to keep his voice down.

"Well! Greetings to you!" he starts in a more flamboyant manner than he's used to. "My Employer over there, a Mr. Klinge-Faust, has just arrived on your beautiful planet, and he's looking for a lot of relaxation and maybe a little excitement too. I'm sure that someone in your position would be pleased to help him out. So let's have it then. What would you recommend for someone with as many credits to throw around as Mr. Klinge-Faust over there?"

(Shooting from the hip here. This kind of thing usually works in the movies. *Crosses fingers* 😛 )

(Nice plan Sirus, Bardock the orders regarding Kuylen probably read: Bring him in alive is possible, if not KILL HIS MOFO ASS. we went after Balek (an extra-ordinairy bountyhunter) as a strike Force, Imagine what the standing orders would be for one of the baddest dark jedi there is.)

Hmm, well but the question is if the Z'har hired him to protect them, do we have any right to take him? Or do we have to accept his presence and authority on the planet?

Ok, lots of action here...

First of all, if you want to Fix-it a signal back to the Order please feel free to do so. However, it must be said... you are not sensing any immediate danger- if they wanted you dead you guess they would have shot you down.

I'll remind you that you are in the middle of the Republic on a high-profile mission and people would have to be insane to openly move againsty you- at the very least, they would have to bne planning to leave VERY fast afterwards. Even before the days of the Bureau, Kuylen never operated this close to Coruscant. Closest he ever worked was Malastare and even that was very risky. So don't worry about being suddenly shot to pieces.

That said... you DO have a bad feeling about all this.

Kuylen is wanted on all sorts of counts- quite aside that Jedi have a mandate to take in Dark Siders- even though the Council is not currently pursuing that Mandate- he is wanted on a variety of crimes raning from murder (including his own Padawan) to terrorism (and, incidentally, a slew of immigration offences, which is what the Bureau were after him for- he was, in fact, top of their wanted list). He has also threatened enough people- especially after the small war he started on Malastare (very bad publicity for the Jedi, that was).

Being wanted, then, by the Jedi, the Senate and the Bureau- the only three organisations in the Galaxy with an interplanetary mandate- you sure as heck don't have to worry about reason to take him in, even with the bureaucracy of him being meant to be dead.

However. Standing orders for Jedi are to avoid all contact with Dark Siders (hunting them was causing more harm than not hunting them). As this order was issued because of Kuylen (long story from the first campign), you couldn't pursue such an arrest. It would be the job of the Bureau. Different story if he comes after you, and that's not law either, only Council policy; they can change it any time they wish.

(Talking of the Bureau, veteran players who follow the plotline should remember that whilst you are hazily aware of its existence, you a. have no reason to think it isn't what it says it is- an interplanetary organisation designed to reduce the free movement of dangerous criminals by cracking down on immigration (which is its excuse to go after Dark Siders, which yuo are also vaguely aware they do), and b. you certainly have no idea about Osokan death squads!)

Remember you are here to enjoy the facilities also, Andro!

The information desk is only too happy to point out the various advantages you can take of the package you hve booked in on. A fully qualified Doctor will personally supervise the three of you, and each of yuo will have your own personal nurse, who will perform functions from monitoring your personal health, to administaring bouts of massage designed to increase relaxation and promote good circulation- they are well trained in that department.

Aside from the fully equipped gyms and spas, there is a full sports facility, along with the planet's national sport, Spiridon Hockey, and a special feature of your visit is use of their latest generation sensory deprivation tanks.

All in all, you have a good deal!

(Well then, I say let's get to it! Sounds like a working vacation to me. )

Andro returns to Gallagher and Zaland with the information. "Well, Gentleman, it seems we are indeed in for a treat here." Then very quietly to Gallagher. "I'm hoping that appearing as rich thrill/pleasure seekers, perhaps someone will think we're the type that might be interested in recreational medicines. I guess we'll see if it works or not."

(This is when everyone regrets not taking that mission. It seriously does consist of you guys being utterly pampered. In the name of justice, of course. You MAY have to fit some light work in at some point, I am afraid.)

✅ 🍺 😛 😗

that's all I have to say to the other players.

Oh damn, poor Gallagher... 😛

"Well, Akron, shall we make use of their facilities?" Gallagher asks, walking to a directory.

"Where would be a good place to start our investigation?" Gallagher asks Andro and Zaland quietly, not loud enough for anyone other than them to hear.
