Not especially...
"Apparently, Mr. Twain," Gallagher says. He pats him on the shoulder. "Well, I must be off, then. Take care."
Gallagher takes his leave of Deel Twain.
"Hmm...that wasn't good, was it?" Gallagher mutters to Zaland and Andro, before placing himself at a game of sorts near Dr. Mirani and his son.
Now you look again at the black outfit, he could certainly be a Priest.
"Again?" Mirani is saying.
"He is most adamant," says the Priest.
"It's not safe."
"He is willing to take the risk. He has much work to do."
"He has to face reality. He can't pretend it isn't happening."
"Shall I tell him you won't do it?"
"No... I will... gah. Very well then. But later; I have a busy schedule."
"I am sure he appreciates that. Good day, Doctor."
(Missed a fair number of postings today, but I've caught up now.)
"Well, my testing went extremely well. Actually, maybe too well. It's hard to just ignore twenty-odd years of training. Hopefully I didn't set a new planet-wide record or something."
Andro sees that Gallagher takes interest in the conversation between a well dressed gentleman and their own Dr. Mirani. When Gallagher approaches and Zaland follows, Andro make sure to pay a noticeable amount of attention to the proceedings, but hangs back a little farther than Zaland. Having two bodyguards flank someone in a quiet conversation hardly seems relaxed or casual. But Andro figured a Family Protector probably wouldn't ignore it either.
When Gallagher moves to the game, Andro follows this time pretending to take great interest in it, but he can hear the conversation as well.
Andro leans closer to Gallagher. "A little pushy for a priest, isn't he?" He notices Gallagher's subtle look of concentration as the men part company. "What did you get?"
"What?" He seems distracted. "Oh, a companion to one of our guests. As your protectors are your companions."
"What's this, what's this?" says Twain, coming over. "Conspiratorial whispers? Why don't we all get a drink and sit down? If that is acceptable, Doctor?"
"Just the one," he says. "And not for me, I am on duty. Excuse me, everyone."
When Gallagher had finished talking to Dr. Mirani and had sat down with Mr. Twain, Andro moved over to one of the games. He knew that Gallagher had already dug a small hole, and didn't want to give Mr. Twain the opportunity to make things worse by cross-examining Andro's knowledge of the Klinge-Faust Family with Gallagher's. Besides, he really liked that game.
