Gallagher will attempt to Tackle Varm in this waiting round.

He hasn't got the ball!

Block him to knock him over, then?

Roan heaves a long sigh.
"I never thought it would have to come up. But I should have known, with Kuylen being here and all, it seems to be inevitable. The Treaty of Komal was a Treaty written over a thousand years ago that promised that the Jedi would leave Zetion alone and not facilitate is seemingly inevitable distruction. But Me, Marcus, Xeth and Master Gundark broke that treaty chasing Larios Kuylen there, where he attempted to Discover the secrets of the Sith and even become one himself. There we made our second great mistake. We were captured by the government of Zetion, and while being threatened with a swift and confusing execution, we competly ignored the fears of the Elder, who we assumed was under the influence of Kuylen and his folower, Completly ignorant, or both. This was because of their quick prosecution and hatred of Jedi, which in retrospect was simply due to self preservation. Nevertheless, we were soon part of a trial, one that had been Corrupted by Kuylen, The jury was split and we were hestantly let go. But half by action on the Dark Sider's and half the inevitable distruction of the Zetionian people, we were caught in a bloody battle. We managed to escape, and luckily get a hold of the Zetionian version of the The Treaty of Komal. The Elder was killed by the follower's of Kuylen. They later got away to the actual Mosoleaum and final ciadel of Darth Demnos. We confronted then there and narrowly averted the distruction of the planet though an immense Vengance device, consiting of a huge baridium crystal, This was initated by a disturbed follower of Kuylen, and only through the quick actions of Master Marcus was it disabled. I went with Xeth and Master Gundark to directly confront Kuylen. There I got in a vicious Lightsaber fight with Galder Starkiller. From which I barly escaped with my life, unable to stop Kuylen from defeating Gundark and Xeth, and entering the tomb of Demnos, only to find out what the council knew all along, that it was purged of all Sith Energy long ago by the Same Jedi master that wrote this treaty. It was not our brightest day, and mistakes were made. But this is NOT the same case. First of all, there is no Dark Jedi behind the scenes pulling strings and subversing our plans, it is only the conflicting viewpoints of two very determened men. And their extablishments and followers. Also I am determined not to make this like Zetion. We rushed to action there, and while it was not my decision to go to Zetion, I was simply following the Master Gundark, but I still understand that it wasn't the wisest decision and that it was a very narrow escape and the will of the force that it turned out the way it did. With very little changed on Zetion. But I am going to listen to everyone here. If I was under the same impression as I was then would I come talk to you? You are like the Elder, and I'm sure you know that. But here I am. I don't know the intracacys of this planet, so tell me. Make me understand you position. Help me make this turn out differently and prevent the mistakes that were made from repeating themselves."

The Jury wasn't split- you escaped!

"Like I already told your companion, the threat here is proportionate to this situation as the threat there was proportionate on Zeiton.

"The document you see here, Jelena, aptly demonstrates my point. Consider the position of the Jedi Council. They have learned that only by totally removing contact with the Zeitonians can the population of that benighted planet ever survive. Furthermore, they know future contact with Zeiton is dangerous not only to the Zeitonians, but to just about everyone. The Treay of Komal... until it was broken by people like Gundark and Roan... forbade the Jedi to ever return there. The Council at the time took their responsibilites seriously. All evidence of Zeiton's existance was removed. The Sith Astrolabes that could point the way there- destroyed or disabled. All mention of Zeiton at any point inside the archives- excised. The Mausoleum became a mere legend. And wise they were to do all this, for the risk of failure was shown when it did eventually fail at the hands of Larios Kuylen- and fortunate that Sareth Komal had already ensured Kuylen's mission would be a failure.

"But the Treaty presented the Council with a bit of a problem. It was direct evidence of the existence of Zeiton, and explains much to do with it. By their logic, then, it should be destroyed. But by obvious necessity, the Treaty needed to be kept, lest the agreement eventually became broken simply by the Council forgetting of it. But where to keep it? Not in the Archives, that would be beyond foolish, and Larios Kuylen would have been saved much trouble. Entrust it to the Senate? Hah! May as well have distributed it with the press. So where- where to hide something so dangerous that the Jedi cannot be allowed near it?"

"So Put it in the depths of the vault. And let noone touch it. I would assume there are other documents of the same magnatude intrusted there. Of which I will not inquire about, fo obvious reasons."

"That is the purpose of the Vault. The Treaty of Komal was 800 years ago. The Vault is 25000 years old. A thousand generations of history, and many is the time that forbidden knowledge that cannot be destroyed has appeared in that time. It is ALL in there. The Z'Har are its guardians; that responsibility falls to me. The Jedi may NOT see it. It is illegal for you to seek to be there- a clause few know of today, written into the very foundation of the Jedi Order, right from the very beginning, based from the first encounter with the antecedants of the Sith. The Z'har and the Jedi are more linked than you know."

He relaxes in his seat.

"I am the Order's chief advisor on all such matters. I followed the Zeitonian mission closely. Master Yoda and I are... old friends."

"It all make much more sence now. If Volun was to get ahold of these, there is no telling what sort of damage he could do. By either publishing or destroying the documents and artifacts. I can now see your urgency, but I would still not like to resort to violence."

He sighs once more.

"As I clearly pointed out before, Volun will NOT get hold of them. He is ignorant of their existence and will not find the Vault. The danger is from you."

"Well what makes you so sure that I am going to go looking for them? It seems to me that it would be a very good idea to stay away from that."

"I will judge by your actions, not by your words, and I do not believe you. I will not permit you to see the contents of the Vault, Jedi- and I will stop you by any means necessary."

"Without any disrespect, I think your worries should be focused elsewhere, On Kuylen, I know his Cousin would have given anything to get to tht vault, and from what Jelena and I have forseen and how he is acting, the apple is not falling far from the tree."
(Ok Cliche in SW world but whatever)

"That is a specious attempt at misinformation. I know Anaz far better than you."

He stands.

"Order the troops in now," he says.

"Great job, Scroop!" Andro congratulates his teammate. He then runs back to his third, gambling with the ball drop.

"No! Don't do that just yet!!"

"I see no reason why we should not attack, then," Jelena says. "But, as my duty to the Republic, I should like to do something to save those other precious things on display, outside of the true Vault. We could leave Roan out of the 'mission' to save everything else from the incindiery bombs. Taking down Volun out of the fight, whether by words or war, would be a simple matter."

I don't think you got a full grasp of things there, Roan! If he could have ordered in the troops himself he would have done it ages ago. The troops are yours. He's telling you to do it.

"Your prevarications point to only one conclusion," says the Venerable Z'Har. "I know what the Council wants and where you are headed. Be sure; I will stop you. Good day to you."

He's certainly done with you guys... which gives you a lot to think about.
