USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE III (DARK SIDE)- The Way Back

Somehow I don't think that'd work, Geheron would probably want to speak to his son....who's dead....

Yes very good point.

We could always pretend that we kidnapped his son if it gives us any advantage.

But we really need more info about Geheron`s personality, tactics, structure and resources of his Clan,.... an extensive interrogation on captive pirate is mandatory!

I also don't think that would work too well, they'll still probably want to blast the hell out of us, especially after they figure out we're lying.

But it might be enough to get us an audience with him, or something.... Maybe we can ally with second -in-command, and assasinate Geheron for him?

How would we contact his second in command also how would we have time to befriend him.

With our social skills and powers we can achieve very interesting results, but we need some base to work from....

well..i'm not sure this poor sod actually KNOWS anything that we';re curious about. but if an extended interrogation is worth it, i could try it.
so if there's anything that can be known from him...ush can post it 😛

though we don't have much time

Well, we really don't know what we can find out until we try, right? 😛

Things to ask about:

-Geheron`s personality- is he a cruel tyrant or inspiring leader? Is he paranoid or megalomaniac? Does he love his son?

-his position- is he popular? Does he have any potential rivals?. Are there other leaders in the Clan he has to contend with?

-the Clan itself- is is it organized like a military or a bunch of thugs? Its morale, enemies...

all of this from a guy that's only supposed to shoot what moves outside the clan? 😛

Hey, aren`t pirates likely to gossip about their leader? Leader and his qualities are very important among their kind!

Well at the least I think we could get SOME basic info 😛 Probably not much specific details, but even some general info (how the pirate clan is run, the size of the fleet, etc) would be helpful.

Hey, Pirates aren`t some kind of mafia, who don`t know each other! If this guy spent years in this Clan, he will know much, I assure you. It is his entire life!

And in such pirate clans great many things depend upon the personality of leader, so he would know things that Geheron reveals in public, and likely some rumors.

I think we all agree any info will be good no matter what kind it is let's just hope this guy knows something that will help us.

Rand sighs. "Just dandy..."

"Someone make this man comfortable; I'm not done getting the information I want from him."

Time is indeed an important issue here, and like I said, cracking this guy with intimidate will take quite some time.

What you can establish is that the Scarlet Viper, whilst not one of the central pirate clans, is one that is notably exceptionally vicious. These people are one-dimensional killers. There is little politics, they won't negotiate. They are as straight forward a threat as you can find. This guy doesn't even seem to know the communication protocols to contact Geheron.

The fact is, that although you now have your base, you guys still don't have the starting point or clout to get 'into' a pirate clan like that (and if you did, you certainly wouldn't start with the Scarlet Viper). Your asset is still your personal strength, and against naval power that doesn't count for anything. It's an unacceptable weakness but you are stuck with it. Only that shield kept you safe.

And if not them, someone else. Without the generator, this base is worthless. These pirates had no base, because they had no generator. That is worthy logic.

As much as he hates saying this, Rand thinks it is best to abandon. How the hell are we going to get into a pirate fleet, without being shot down, then storm the main flagship from within? Not possible, even for us, unless we get incredibly lucky.

Yup, it's suicide to take on the fleet. You do not have the organisational capacity to do it.

But this base... it's too important.

You can't fight the fleet, and you are worth nothing if you leave the base. You need option 3.
