Rand pushes away Galder's hand, now unleashing one of his malicious, ghostly glares. He reserved such a glare only for Galder, the bane of his leadership. Besides, the numbing cold did not feel any better when vibrating.
"I beg to differ, pupil," Rand says to Rianna, the glare leaving momentarily, his voice still without contempt for the young woman. "Those I am more powerful than, I can still command. Don't you agree, Galder?"
"I am not your pupil, Rand, and you do not command me. Do not presume to EVER refer to me as your pupil or apprentice, or try to order me again." Rianna says, glaring at Rand.
"Thank you, Gallador. See, some people recognize my talent here and do not demean it by bringing up my lack of control with the Force."
"When you were but a child!" Rand recalls. "You were not old enough to understand just how poorly he was with a blade. I remember him being brought into the Temple, an inch from life after trying to defend himself from space pirates. I must admit, vicious bunch, those pirates, but still. A Jedi, falling to pirates!"
"It is your mother who was the expert with a blade...your father was more like Takuan or I."

Rand still remains without glares at Rianna."Don't fall to Galder's level, Rianna," Rand says. "I am positive you have more intelligence than that..."
"That's the thing with intelligent people, Rand. They know how to think for themselves. And I will not take orders from a near-cripple who has done nothing but lead us into disaster time and time again."
