The Good Die Young

The Good Die Young

Warriors of fate lost in the mist
Rising from death
Tragedies in the midst
Struggling with every breath

Enduring society's labels
Rebels to society's jackals
Fighting against lies and fables
Refusing to be placed in their shackles

Souls who had never given up hoping
Believing the possibilities
Wounded hearts left behind still coping
Realizing the vulnerabilities

Long gone in their physical form
Ashes left blowing in the wind
Many lost in a violent storm
Who were once a friend

Fearless heroes at their core
Courage through the fire
Dying for principles they had lived for
Amazing feats we still admire

Angels with broken wings
Roses with broken petals
Awaiting what the future brings
As their destiny settles

Never again to see the light of day
Many things left unsaid
Families left a stray
Victims to the lives they led

Any thoughts?

Like it, but it seems so sad.

True, but it is the common fate that many young people of today even the most noble often face in today's society. I suppose it can be viewed as a reflection of the decisions we make and the lives we choose to live.

I like it, despite the sadness of it and I agree that its a reflection of decisions we've made and how we live our lives.
