“but prostitution leads to violence and drugs”
How did you make that connection??
As with all things in life – you can make all the laws you want, but you won’t make anything go away by making it illegal. You’ll only make it dangerous. That’s the way with drugs, with abortions… and with prostitution.
Human trafficking is horrible. Men, women and children forced into sexual prostitution because of poverty or other social conditions are in no way choosing this way of life for themselves. The “red” districts in, say, Thailand, were ugly, fat, loosers from the west go to have sex with poor Thai-people should have their (….) cut off and stuck down their (….)!!!
That will NEVER be okay in my book!
But if a woman (or man, there are gigolos and their number is climbing) willingly chooses to sell her/his body for money, that is their choice. Society needs to wake up, and not consider all prostitutes as socially lost drug-addicts who walk the streets late at night.
And when you give your girlfriend expensive jewellery are you making HER a prostitute? When you give your boyfriend an expensive shirt are you making HIM a male ho?
Is asscoiated with, its the oldest profession, but it keeps the streets a lower standatds.
Buying someone something is a meaning of affection, and if you have a true relationship money's no object.
It can be a release, but it spreads much more than you mention, even nonproststutes play host to diseases they don't even know of.
Sorry if it sounded like a stereotype.
