When did the Wrecking Crew defeat Juggernaut? New Excalibur...what?
Edit: Oops sorry it was NE 13 when the wrecking crew beat him. 😛

To be fair that was a severely weakened Juggs. Did they just beat Sasquatch? I don't understand how...or why 🙁 Wild Child also just had his way with him recently.
Wrecker has power close to Thor's level ... it's really the times that they get beat that should be questioned.
And Wild Child has been severely retconned in the Wolverine comics ... he definitely has more going on now than he has ever shown before.

Oh I know, I'll make mention of it. Meh! Marvel revealed they were augmented in power and we find out in a preview page for Omega Flight #3 that the Crew was summoned by none other than Tanaraq to the Realm of the Beasts
Yeah that was stupid.

Also what Secret Wars issue did they beat Colossus in?

Interesting...I think it's their clothes, had it been anything but construction tools I'd probably feel different. Kind of like Rhino.
Originally posted by King_MungiJust rememeber that in that fight they pretty much admit they are low class Villians. They basically said Juggernaut with all his power would whoop them. Also just to let you know the Wrecking Crew gets messed up pretty bad in that fight once the rest of NE shows up and Wrecker gets beat by Juggernaut accidently shoving him under a double decker bus. Juggernaut was only getting it off of himself and it landed on Wrecker.
Thanks, I actually am doing a respect thread for the crew and they have some DAMN impressive feats
So yes they thrashed depowered Juggs but overall not a very good showing for them 😛

Yep, my respect thread is showing that
Seems they gave him adamintium claws, but still can Wolverine defeat Hulk that easily? Same situation it's just dumb.

Actually the WreckingCrew is a brilliant bit of humor.
I think they're probably based on a story from NorseMythology where Thor is duped out of his equipment and has it all replaced by a witch so he can go get it back.
He ends up with:
Mittens in place of his iron gloves
A piece of string in place of his belt of strength
A worm eaten staff in place of Mjolnir
All of them were equal in power to the originals and allowed Thor to succeed.
The WreckingCrew is a modern version of the same story and lesson. Basicly it's not how cool the stuff looks it's just about the power within it.
Then again maybe I'm giving Marvel too much credit.

😂
that is a rather brilliant analogy. i kow exactly the story you're talking about but never made that connection.
if your observation IS true, marvel deserves a pat on the back.
if it's NOT true . . .
it should be. 😉

How powerful is, and what can a comic book character do if he/she can manipulate energy in the electromagnetic spectrum?
Depends heavily on the writer but absolute control of EM would grant:
Tap into/control anything electronic
"Listen" to transmissions in the air
Levitation
Near absolute invisibilty
Energy progection (heat, xrays, gamma, visible light, plasma)
Forcefields
In some instances the ability to interfere with TP
Apparent TK (macro scale)
Form constructs (a la holodeck)
False color vision of the entire spectrum (drop the frequency just as it gets to your eye)
etc
etc
So very powerful. However I can't think of any character that has show that level of control.
