He's (he was) a Spider-Man villain who is hundreds, if not thousands, of years old. He absorbs the life force of people with totemic powers (people through the years who have been granted powers by animals.... it's kinda mystical/magical) he can suck up anyone's life energy just as easily but he needs the totem's life energy to re-energise his cells for longer periods

People think he's around class 50.... but it's all speculative

Whats the story with spideys new powers ?

I have heard that juggernaut and the blob squared off, is it true? If so any scans, issue numbers?

I someone (who i really doubt the intelligence of) said that rouge pushed juggernaut backward one time, any truth? doubt it.

It's not fully cleared up yet... wait until "The Other: Evolve or Die" finishes.... so far he's faster, has "stingers" that project from the same area as his webbing and his Spider Sense has improved/gotten more sensitive

Apparently Ares is joining the New Avengers, what are his powers ?

"Strength Level: Ares possesses greater strength than most Olympian gods, and can lift (press) approximately 70 tons under optimal conditions.

Known Superhuman Powers: As an immortal god, Ares possesses vast strength and endurance. His physical capabilities are superior to those of the majority of Olympian gods. He has virtually inexhaustible stamina, and does not tire appreciably after any exertion.

Like all Olympian, Ares is immortal, possessing a life essence that cannot be ended by any conventional means. He can be wounded in battle, but his godly life force gives him incredible recuperative abilities. He can fully recover from penetration wounds (such as by knife, sword, or bullet) in anywhere from minutes to hours, depending on their severity. Only an injury of such magnitude that it incinerates him or disperses a major portion of his bodily molecules could cause him physical death. Even then, his life essence may still be unharmed, and Zeus may be able to resurrect him.

Abilities: Ares possesses great skill in the use of all the implements of war used in the time of ancient Greece and Rome."

"Kurt Busiek, acclaimed writer of ASTRO CITY and JLA and upcoming writer of AQUAMAN: SWORD OF ATLANTIS, has signed an exclusive agreement with DC Comics. Busiek also will co-write the 8-part story “Up, Up and Away” with Geoff Johns beginning in March’s SUPERMAN #650 and ACTION COMICS #837. "

Whats this 52 thingy that DC is on about ?

"52 is the working title of a comic book series to be published by DC Comics, to debut in May 2006, one week after the conclusion of the seven-issue limited series Infinite Crisis. The series will be written by Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid, and Keith Giffen. Each issue of the series will cost $2.50 USD[1].

After Infinite Crisis #5, all of the comic books in the DC Universe will jump forward one year in time. 52 will be published weekly for one year and will comprise 52 issues. The series serves to explain the events which took place during the missing 12 months in DC continuity. Each issue will contain 20 pages of stories and will include back-up tales. The comic will involve a cast of characters whose stories will be told nowhere else, to encourage curious fans to pick up the comic. There will be six or more independent storylines which will occasionally cross over, and will touch upon nearly every aspect of the post-Infinite Crisis universe. Every character from every series will be seen during the course of the series."

Hmmmm, interesting. I could've sworn Drax was a bit stronger.

He's pretty powerful but he's also the least versatile on the list. It's hard to order them though. Surfer and the Lanterns have the most "power" but they don't always use it well. Written well, they'd almost never lose.

perhaps... but Drax is also physically indestructible.... i don't think anyone else on the list can claim that .... except maybe the Surfer

Ok, Zemo has 2 moonstones now.... making him one of the most powerful beings, if not thee most powerful being, on Marvel Earth...... so why does he still carry a sword and a pistol?

Backup, in case that the moonstones are taken away? Sounds something that a cool mastermind would think.

yes (and he did recently put them down so he could fight the swordsman on equal terms) ..... but there's nothing to stop him keeping one inside himself like Moonstone used to and he could carry the other one around like he's doing now

to be fair, what he's doing is pretty stupid

What do the Moonstones actually do?

Well, when Moontsone (Karla Sofen) had one moonstone she had energy blasts, Light generation, flight (escape velocity), intangibility, superstrength (probably slightly below Warbird level), ability to alter her costume at will

when she gained the second Moonstone her powers went off the scale, class 100+ strength, gravity manipulation, teleportation, ability to open portals, super speed, invunerability, etc, etc....

Now Zemo has all of the power of both Moonstones..... should be good to read when he starts getting serious

Sounds good. I would guess he'll use both when he fights Genis in Thunderbolts #100.

He'd have to, one moonstone wouldn't be nearly enough for that fight..... Genis couldn't keep up with Zemo's spacial rips though... so they may be around the same level just now
