the original story was that his brain was able to manipulate electrons and the speech centers of his body ( his brain is wired that way after terrigenation) caused it to spill out uncontrollably in the form of a shock wave, that's what the tuning fork was for, to control it's use for more specific abilities.
of coarse any attempt to speak would cause the chain reaction to go off, and the more he lets out, the more power he lets out. the only sound element to his power was due to the shock wave being f*****g loud (air molecules would vibrate and cause noise).

Given Marvel's ambiguous stance on his powers since his conception as a character, and seeing as that's a fairly off-hand comment, I wouldn't label that as strict proof.

But it is the most recent source, so... eh.

thats what i had thought. sound waves wouldn't make sense with how his powers work
i chalk it up to a screw up, maybe the guy didn't have the handbook open when he wrote that stuff cause it's all there in black and white.

I always thought it would make a lot more sense if Black Bolt could use his electronic manipulation to some how generate positrons in his lungs. Maybe his trachea works like a miniature particle accelerator which generates the positron's that he then expels from his vocal cords. I know its not cannon, but its sounds cool.
2 questions:
1.Since when is Elektra a skrull ? What's the last issue in which the 'true' Elektra appeared ? The one from Enemy of the State and the one fighting Bullseye in Daredevil was the real one, right ?
2.Was the Wolverine that fought Shang Chi in any way improved ? Enhanced strength/speed or anything of that sort ?
