Horsecrap. Green Lantern Corps stands on its own, before, during, and since Sinestro Corps War.

GLC = incredibly mediocre. 🙂

and what about GL?

Much better IMO. Kyle/Guy/John fans won't be as happy, but Hal is enough GL for you then it's a good character piece. I'm still hoping that in either GL or the main Blackest Night series we see Hal's dad. Pretty much from issue 1, John's has been building Hal's character as being defined by his relationship to his father.

Nothing particularly wrong with GLC. It's the Star Wars of the DCU which is good, but it's not grounded enough to sustain my interest. The main GL, fortunately, is. 🙂

EDIT: Which is ironic because what I loved about Sinestro Corps War was it's epic "Star Wars" feel.

No.

i actually prefer GLC to GL. granted the art may not be as good, but the overall stories are better imo.

GL>GLC

vol 4 glc was crapwhen compared to gl

opinions vary, i guess.

Like I've already said a few months ago, I'm not a big fan of GLC either. Maybe it's the art that pulls me off but I'm just not simply looking forward to it like I do to some comics every month (Batman & Robin, Green Lantern etc)

I wonder how not being as great as say Batman and Robin, which is one of the strongest title I've seen in 2009, means that GLC isn't a great comic. I don't look forward to it as much as Batman and Robin too, but it's still a really great comic.

don't get me wrong, GLC is certainly no REBELS, but i still enjoy it quite a bit. *shrugs*

Why does the GLC need Mogo to distribute rings throughtout the universe but from what I've seen the other spectrums don't?

Have I missed something?

Because Johns made up the whole "needing Mogo" thing a couple of years ago, just to make one story a little easier to write, then just didn't give a damn about making it make sense with the other Corps.

we don't know that the other corps don't have something like that, though. they very well could...

So i picked up Doom Patrol for the ring, and enjoyed it so much i collected the first three issues. The metal men back-up is the shizz.

Anyone else picking it up?

Anyone know which issues the "Chaos Engine Trilogy" took place in?

Yeah, been enjoying it.

The Doom Patrol lead-in is fun, if a little by-the-book. Not my favorite version of the team, but definitely a decent read.

Metal Men has just been awesome every time.
