He did survive and he got out. If you go on bobafett.com you'll see Lucas's story for that. The only reason you didn't see him for the rest of the movie because he has no more buisness with Vader so he went and carried on his career. I know that was a huge crapy mistake on Lucas' part for making that happen on episode 6.

Jango is faster, has mandalorian experience, is tougher, stronger(if you read any boba books, ull seee that hes physically weak and beat up)........ii could go on for days. jango is just so much better.
