need help w/ name of older movie

all i can remember is there are little people.and they are dragging a lady through the wall or somthing....she grabs an end table a camera falls off she starts snapping the camera and the flash from the blub scares them...i cant remember what happens after that...
i think my parents made me turn it off..this movie is older..

sounds like The Gate, with the lil ppl and all, but that was a dead guy that came threw the wall and grabbed the kid with glasses, could be ppl under the stairs also
