Dan-El
The Emerald Archer
I have an idea. I tried to start my own thread with this, but it didn't work out.
Anyway, last episode of Smallville EVER, Clark dons his Superman suit. We see him in it, his destiny is fulfilled. Show's over, right? WRONG!
Enter the new show to replace Smallville. I haven't thought of a title yet, but I'm calling it "Metropolis" for obvious reasons.
The show keeps the same basic staff and cast from Smallville to ensure good writing and acting, because we don't want another show like "Lois & Clark". The story is all about how Clark is adapting to life in the city as Superman. The public doesn't trust him at first, he's having a hard time at work (what with Lois working there anyhow. I mean, she has seen his face minus the glasses before!), looking for a place to stay. Plus, he has to take on baddies springing out of the wordwork, such as Deadshot, Metallo, and others.
Lex is also in Metropolis. After the death of his father, he moves out of the Luthor mansion and into Metropolis. He's lost contact with Clark after years, and perhaps has forgotten him all together? (Reply with ideas if you don't like it.) He now runs LexCorp out of Metropolis, and regularly hires super-powered assasins to take down the city's blue guardian, seeing him as a threat to business.
Of course, the Lana/Clark romance will end. It has too people! Make room for Lois!
So here's how I see the teaser commercial:
(Cue Superman Theme)
"Last year"
Shot of Clark from behind in regular Smallville outfit. He's holding his costume, but we can only see the edges from behind.
"A Boy"
Shot of Clark's face (played by Tom Welling, of course).
"Became A Man"
Shot of the costume, S shield taking up most of the space.
"Now See That Man"
Shot of Clark in the well known suit and glasses get-up. Something's wrong. A man screams.
"Become"
Man falls from ledge. Clark ducks into an alley. Man continues to fall. He's caught. Shot of SUPERMAN holding man in his arms.
"A Hero"
Continue with random action sequences filled with shots of Erika Durance as Lois, Michael McKean as Perry White, Michael Rosenbaum as Lex, and two very proud parents of a very special Clark Kent. Also shots of some new villains. It's very exciting and heart pumping. Then the screen goes back.
Then we hear a clip from the Smallville episode "Exposed"
"Some people live above the rules," (shot of Superman staring down Lex. Screen goes black.) "Guess what? That's life in Metropolis."
Cut to title and air date.
Doesn't that give you chills?
