is masturbating a sin?

Nevermind, I see it. I was thinking of Chapter 14 when I said leprosy.

so what do you think of this?

Well, I know more of the New Testament than the Old Testament because some rules change in the New Testament.

I have honestly never seen that scripture and not sure what to think of it.

EDIT* Read the entire Chapter. That is out of context.

14 And on the eighth day he shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and come before the LORD to the door of the tent of meeting, and give them to the priest; 15 and the priest shall offer them, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD for his discharge. 16 "And if a man has an emission of semen, he shall bathe his whole body in water, and be unclean until the evening. 17 And every garment and every skin on which the semen comes shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the evening. 18 If a man lies with a woman and has an emission of semen, both of them shall bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the evening.

Offerings were no longer necessary after Jesus died on the cross. He died for everyone's sins so we no longer have to make atonement for sins by offerings.

it clearly says if semen from masturbation or anything else and it gets on clothes or the bed then it must be clean. it did not say it was a sin, not all of the laws rules were based on sin. if it was a sin then he would require a burnt or sin offering, but he didn't and it wasn't much of anything to argue about. Jesus didn't not talk about masturbation in Mathew, but lusts and sexual fantasies, masturbation is totally different and should never be confused. God didn't not say in the bible it was a sin and Leviticus is the only proof, but if it involves sexual fantasies or lusts then it would be a sin. just like sex should only be for marriage, it is only a sin when people commit fornication. alot of Churches are confused on this subject and that is why this is the hottest topic in church. I did research on a website that would be very helpful. it is misinterpretation and mostly beliefs that never came from the bible but foreign lands.

Well, I'm lost for words. Could you link that site?

OK just give me a second and I will find it for you, just wait please.

go to www.boysunderattack.com

Thanks. Weird.

anytime. it really is some good stuff and it has helped me alot.

Man that is starnge to think about.

If nothing else in The Bible says different about this, then I guess it is okay as long as you don't think about someone while doing it.

true. did you read all of it when you clicked on masturbation? it starts getting more interesting towards the end.

No I am at my parents house at the moment and they won't like that site too much.

I will look at it more when I get to my house.

I know it is bad, but still it gets to the point. it is very rare with find another website just like this. I'm sorry, but it was the only thing that makes sense.

I did see the the thing about Onan. That was interesting.

8 Then Judah said to Onan, "Go in to your brother's wife, and perform the duty of a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother." 9 But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother's wife he spilled the semen on the ground, lest he should give offspring to his brother. 10 And what he did was displeasing in the sight of the LORD, and he slew him also. 11 Then Judah said to Tamar his daughter-in-law, "Remain a widow in your father's house, till Shelah my son grows up" --for he feared that he would die, like his brothers. So Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house.
What about that "sin of Onan" and the "wasting of seed"?
Some Protestants used to use the story of Onan (Genesis 38:8-11) to discourage masturbation in boys. I can't go into all the customs of that day, but the bottom line is that the whole thing clearly has nothing to do with masturbation (it deals with something called "coitus interruptus" in required intercourse). It just doesn't apply.

That makes a lot of sense.

coitus in·ter·rup·tus
n.
Sexual intercourse deliberately interrupted by withdrawal of the penis from the vagina prior to ejaculation.

I wonder if the person who started this thread has read this last page.

probably not

No way, if that was true God would have made our arms shorter, like T-rex. Maybe, it was a sin for T-rex. 😂

probably
