OOC
yup, while treking through the jungle of cyber space i have managed to find many pictures of the titans...and this one amuses me the most...it's not the most obvious one but its my favorite as far as fanfiction go.
and to be honest with everybody, i wasn't expecting anyone to reply until after xmas. i've been getting emails saying people have replied to this thread and when i look it had MrCurt apoligising that the thread had died, i'd thought i'd make myself useful. Anyway back to the story ....
Deadeye was torn between them, watching Shaun topple over in pain and the rush off into the depths of the tower, or Sky-eye waiting in the hummer.
He tossed his keys to Sky-eye.
"Don't scratch the paintwork" he said with a smile. as he turned to look for Shaun. As he passed through the lounge, he started to pick his stuff up. when he was finished he turn and froze as lightining shot past the glass front of the tower. he twitched and muttered "cruddy luck, now its raining".
he dragged his gear to one of the guest rooms and set up some small affects to make it feel "homely". he hadn't been "home" home since the accident. he absentmindedly ran his fingers over a picture of himself and the very first person he'd befriended and set it done on the side table. He grabbed one of gun bags and proceed to go back to the lounge. running his hand along the wall he stopped for a fraction outs two doors, Raven's and Slysheen's door, both were a jar. He shook his head fractionally and carried on towards the lounge to continue his work on his sniper rifle.
"ALL RIGHT! w00t. lets get some weaponry mounted on this thing!"
John immediately drove into the titan's garage, and with scrapped metal, set to work on making a warthog turret. With his energy consuming matter-bending skills, he formed dual barrels, but with all the energy used, he panted and fell to the ground. "Damn, I gotta master this matter-bending thing...Hey! Dead-Eye! would you get me a coke or something? Maybe coffee? i'm pimpin' yer ride, and i'ma need a s***load of energy to do it." He mustered up what he could to make a firing mechanism for the heavy mg's. Not very long after, Sky-eye passed out. O.o
It was a good thing that the titans didn't come through the door. they wouldv'e found Deadeye humming away to his ipod while his modified rilfe lay in grease covered pieces accross the lounge table. He eventually slid the last piece of the mechanical puzzle back into place and stood up, clicking his neck and back as he went. Deadeye grabbed a cloth from the kitchen and took down a mug and spooned coffee in to it. As a after thought as the kettle started to boil he turned and yelled "Yo, Skyeye ! Wanna coffee ?". No Reply. He took another mug down and did the same, drumming his fingers lightly against the surface.
Picking up the mugs he started towards the garage. As he passed through the door his gaze fell on the face down Skyeye. Placing the mugs on the work bench he strode over to him and rolled him over. Skyeye was breathing. thats a good sign. Picking him up he moved him to the sofa. Wetting a towel, he placed it on his head.
"Dude its just not your day is it ..."
Sky-eye rubbed his head. "augh...did i really take that hard of a fall?" He went into the titan's common room and flopped on the couch. "hey Dead-eye, did you get that coffee i asked for?" he turned on the TV, not really watching, but just on to create atmosphere. He studied the room carefully, and noticed that someone new had arrived in. "hey, name's john-or Sky-eye, either one. Nice to meet you." he smiled politely, as not to show any emotion behind the smile. "i understand you're the man who controls the weather. You were the cause of the lightning, and you were also thinking of making rain upon us, but hesitated. Your reason of hesitiation, i cannot discern."
Deadeye turned away from the pair and placed his mug in the sink. Looking up at them, he said,
"I'm going up to the roof. Mull some things over and stuff..."
On his way up there, he stopped at Raven's room. His hand hovering over the keypad. Seconds ticked by. He punched in the code and entered the dimly lit room. Deadeye surveyed the room. It didn't look as if anyone had been here for days. He walked over to one of the bookcase and ran one of his fingers along the spines of the books as he walked the length of it. He picked one of the books up. A simple leather bound book that would have been overlooked if not for a trained eye. He looked along the shelf and noticed the trail through the light dust he made and gently blew along the books, blowing the dust away. He took one last look at the room and left.
He opened the door to the roof and took in a lungfull of sea air. He liked his life before it got all complicated. He sat down on the edge of the roof and placed his laptop down and booted it up. Withing seconds he was hooked up and his hand was hovering over the 'Place Call' function. He jabbed the Enter key and listened to the calling tones. After three rings the person at the other end picked up.
"Hello?"
"Raven?"
"No, it's Victor here. Victor Stone."
"Never heard you sound so formal Tin-man. It's Dwayne"
" 'Sup man ? last i heard you were in Iran getting shot at"
" I Go where the money takes me. By the way, i've crashed at TT, that okay ? and it looks like you gots some more applicants."
"Nah, i don't mind you crashing. Wanna Speak to Rae?"
"Sure"
Several Moment passed. A icon appeared on the screen alerting him to video call. he tapped the button.
"Dee ?"
"Rae" he said, his face cracking into the first smile in a long time.
"Wherev'e you been ? you look a mess."
"I always said you needed to help sort me out"
Little red tinges appeared on her cheeks.
"Where are you?"
"Cye knows, by the way i borrowed a book from your library, that okay ?"
"Which one?"
"My favorite"
"I Thought you'd out grown Pratchett?"
"Never, When you coming back?"
"For you, tomorrow."
"Till then then."
"Bye"
"Bye"
He close the link and shut down the laptop. he swung his legs over the side thinking about his first true friend in the entire world, oblivious to what was happening anywhere else ....
"Yup, i can read minds. i can't find intentions too easily, but i can touch the surface." He frowned, noticing Dead-Eye left without giving him the coffee. "Lazy mother..." He got up and raided the kitchen for snacks. "hey, weatherman, you got any requests for food?" he made himself a cup of coffee. "theres some espresso left in the machine if you want some."
OOC oh well i made the frikin coffee already, live with it =3

"Sup, man. what's your name?" He notices that dead-eye left a coffee on the workbench already. "Eh, its probably cold now anyway." He gulped the coffee down, still burning hot. He lounged on the couch, turning the TV on to Comedy Central.
