I was just wondering - how do people cope with phobias? I've always been afraid of the dark - I always have to have the landing light on and my door wide open. Then I went to Normandy for three days last month and had to share the room with my brother - and he insisted on the light being very firmly off. The first night was horrendous, the second wasn't too bad, and the third was fine. Back at home now, I can hardly have any light coming into my room at all because its too bright - I just have my curtains open a crack to let in the street light.Does anyone else have a situation like that?
*raises hand* That's happened to me before with practically the same thing. I used to be so afraid of having no light in my room, and then one time when my grandma came over, she slept with me in my room (I got to sleep on the floor. Whoop de do.) and she cannot go to sleep with any lights on, so I was forced to sleep in the complete darkness. But after she left, I found that I can't go to sleep with a light on now, too...I can't even stand when the light from the room next to mine is coming in through the crack in the door. 😕
