My PC went BANG!!!!!!

Well, there I was, a week or so back, happily posting here and onn another forum, when BANG!!! A small explosion in my PC, a shot of blue flame, a smell of dead fish and everything went dead...... opening up the comp ( after unplugging it!!) I find the motherboard half melted, two capacitors split open, a hole in my floppy drive, and a bit of soot.... but now I'm back!! £25 got me a second hand Dell that is actually a little bit better than my old one.... bit clunky, but it works for me! Anyone else suffered from exploding hardware????

It was sort of the sound you get when you snap a dry twig..... followed by a sort of hiss and flash....

Thats more of a pop then....

I only heard clicking for awhile then I didn't start anymore.

What model was your old one? I had a second hand old 486 that went dead, just like the 386.
