it basicly follows the book minus some very big, important chapters.

The movie is like a book-on-video. Although they took out a few things, it's still very good.

Plus, now I know what Theoden looks like from TTT. I imagined this wrinkled man that sounded like an old prospector and was short and skinny and had a beard bigger than himself. 😱

No, he doesn't have the extremely long beard and he's not hunched and wrinkled like I imagined. He has more of a Qui-Gon Jinn beard.
