by this i mean, an EU character, such as Exar Kun should not be considered more powerful then Darth Sidious. since it was the movies intentions for him to be the strongest Sith Lord. thus, if you were to take EU as canon (which thank god its not) it takes away from the effect of the movies, which are the real point.
C-3PO beating Kun? no. Ur arrogance blinds you, I dont think that. Obviously a Jedi character is better then a non-Jedi character in combat etc.

are you insane, perhaps you could think about that for a second. Vader is Star Wars. ROTS (and the PT and OT in effect) is his story, the story of the most important and interesting character in the whole of the SW universe. and yet you hold the character who made this universe popular below a EU character who a bunch of computer programmers made up?

SO, i guess the "Dark times' that Obi-wan speaks of never happened. That there was no thousand generatios of Jedi knights. Do you see what EU is, what it really is? It is the back stories for the movies. It is answering all of the questions that the movies leave behind. It is made to make Star Wars, as a whole better. How dare you come in here, and say its not Canon, how dare you!

ummm....becasue its fact, unfortunatly. go read Lucasfilms position on what is Canon.
i'll sum it up anyways. its the movies. 6 movies.
oh and the "dark times" and "thousands of generations of Jedi knights" is Canon, to a degree, becasue its in the movies. we just dont know the specifics of what heppend, and the EU written about it is not cannon, only the fact that there were "thousands of generations of jedi knights" is canon.
EU revolves around the movies. not the other way around.
