Why was Qui-Gon's ghost scene ommited from the movie?

I have the damn thing on my computer 😛 I just, like I said, haven't looked at it since before ROTS came out. Over a month ago 😛

The end of the film kinda dragged out, so I don't think that the scene with him would have helped.
