Obi-won and Yoda's return to the Jedi Temple

When Obi-won and Yoda went back to the Jedi Temple and had to change the code to warn other Jedi that it was dangerous to return to the temple, so how come they were there in the first place if it wasn't supposed to be safe? Wouldn't they have thought twice about it going there? So why were they walking around freely if it was supposed to be dangerous?

Since they were able to walk around freely anyway, shouldn't they have issued a "code clear" or something?? Like, just to prove that the Jedi aren't cowards?

as obiwan said earlier, if they dont change it, more jedi will be fooled into going back and getting killed.

ok, but then they themselves shouldn't have been there in the first place either, I would imagine

But Obi-Wan and Yoda know there's a trap waiting for them there... the other Jedi wouldn't and they'd be killed.

There was a meeting being held at the time and therefore, they figured it safe enough for them to at least stop in really quickly. If they hadnt and there were any other surviving Jedi, they would have been ticked into falling into the trap. They risked it.

Of course it was dangerous to be there....but they had to do it anyways.

Did seem wierd thou that they walked around freely without any thought of being attacked

There was dialogue that was deleted in the movie. after obiwan and yoda kill the clones at the entrance of the temple obi-wan is supposed to say "There are several battalions of Clone Troopers on every level. Many are dressed as Jedi." and yoda answers "Dismantle the coded signal quickly. That group back there, soon discovered will be." refering to the group they killed. the script also says they make their way through the temple by using the force to distract clones in the way

...aaand, if Yoda and Obi believed there were still Jedi somewhere in the galaxy, why didn't they seek them out first? Surely Yoda would be able to feel something....he felt the death of Mace and th younglings...wouldn't he feel the hope of Jedi left alive?

yoda felt the death of the jedi because there were hundreds of deaths all at one time. he isn't able to sense a few jedi that have gone into hiding. and why would they start looking for them if they know the Empire is after them

Remember Yoda and Obi-Wan did have to fight to get into the temple. More troops would have arrived to take the place of the ones they killed. And the ones that didn't know what had happened would be caught off guard by the clones hanging around.

If they needed to warn the other Jedi not to return then Ob1 and Yoda are not the only ones left, and others are still out there. So then why would Ob1 say that Luke was there last hope, when more Jedi would have survived the slaughter? Or were they too late and everyone was slaughtered wherever they were?

Vader hunted down and killed all the Jedi in the galaxy.

So I guess the question then is why did they not go into hiding liked they should have? Or they were just found by Vader but Ob1 and Yoda were able to stay hidden. That explains a little.

They did go into hiding. They were found. Yoda was surrounded by the lifeforms of Dagobah. Obi-Wan, I suppose, just disappeared. He was a hermit after all.

well out of the 1000's Jedi im sure theres alot still alive what we didnt see
